Discovering Tet Holiday 2016: Ideal Getaways for a 3-Day Break in Central Vietnam
Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An
Da Nang, acclaimed as the 'Most Livable City in Vietnam,' is renowned for its picturesque landscapes, captivating tourist spots, unique and affordable culinary scene, and incredibly friendly locals. Perhaps, that's why Da Nang is always the most sought-after travel destination in Vietnam. Typically, travelers combine a visit to Da Nang with exploring Hue and Hoi An.

Just about 30 km from Da Nang, Hoi An reveals its special charm. Beyond its quaint narrow houses lining up closely, Hoi An captivates with its rich culinary culture and fantastic beaches like An Bang or Cua Dai. The best experience in Hoi An is during the evening when the city lights up. The glow from colorful lanterns or floating candles on the Hoai River is enchanting enough to win over even the most discerning hearts. Embracing the tranquility of Hoi An through small cafes along the ancient streets is a delight you won't find anywhere else.

Moreover, you can head to Hue to conclude your 3-day Tet holiday journey. Hue boasts landmarks such as Thien Mu Pagoda, Bach Ma Mountain, Lang Co Beach, Tam Giang Dam, and the Perfume River. These well-known places have been poeticized in Vietnamese literature for centuries. With two UNESCO World Heritage sites—the Hue Imperial City and the Hue Royal Court Music, Hue is truly a fantastic destination for those passionate about exploring the longstanding cultural history of Vietnam.

Ly Son Island
Referred to as the 'fairy island' in the middle of the sea, expansive with emerald green waters, and lush garlic fields as far as the eye can see, it's no wonder Ly Son Island always exerts an irresistible allure, especially for young travelers during each holiday season.

Since there aren't many hotels on Ly Son, some local residents offer homestay accommodations, or you can even camp on Be Island overnight, enjoying food and rest without incurring any additional costs.

Ly Son features attractions like To Vo Gate, Quan Am Pagoda, Hang Pagoda, Hang Cau, and the national flagpole on the summit of Thoi Loi. The unique specialty of Ly Son is solitary garlic, and besides, there are various seafood delicacies like trumpet snails, emperor crabs, and devil fish. Most beautiful beaches are concentrated on Be Island, so when you visit Ly Son, don't miss out on Be Island.
Quy Nhon
Nature may not have bestowed Quy Nhon with abundant blessings, but it's enough to captivate travelers with its martial land's cultural traditions, historical sites, pristine and clear water beaches, and shimmering golden sand hills.

Just a one-hour and fifteen-minute flight away, Quy Nhon welcomes visitors with a strangely peaceful atmosphere. Unlike the bustling and crowded cities like Da Nang, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, or Phan Thiet, this city is serene and quiet, with wide, expansive streets.

Along the main street runs a beautifully crescent-shaped seaside road, embracing the city. On the other side of the road, a vast green area with grass and trees extends for many kilometers, creating a fresh and lush atmosphere.

In Quy Nhon, tourists can enjoy the sea at beaches near the city center without having to travel far, such as Quy Nhon Beach, Hoang Hau Beach (or Trung Beach), Xep Beach, Dai Beach, and more. Additionally, for those who prefer more secluded locations, you can explore places like Eo Gio, Ky Co, Hon Kho, and others.
Phu Yen
Unspoiled and far from the tourist hustle and bustle like the beaches in Nha Trang and Da Nang, Phu Yen gives you the feeling of those who conquer the pristine beauty of the sea and sky. This is also the place that has created many beautiful and captivating scenes for the movie 'I See Yellow Flowers on Green Grass.'

From Saigon, you can reach Phu Yen – Tuy Hoa by various means: air travel, train, or road. Particularly, Tuy Hoa Airport is a coastal airport, so when the plane is about to land, you can admire the panoramic view from the airport area to the Da Nong River mouth and the city center. If you choose to travel by train, it takes about 10 hours.

Phu Yen boasts a diverse natural landscape, including mountains, plateaus, plains, rivers, lakes, ponds, bays, and islands. Some prominent attractions are the Da Dia Reef, O Loan Lagoon, Xep Beach, Da Bia Mountain, Xuan Dai Bay, and nationally recognized historical sites such as Ro Gulf, Nhan Mountain – Da River.

Visiting Phu Yen, travelers can't help but marvel at the beauty of the sea, the blue sky, and the refreshing green fields along the roadsides. This is undoubtedly the place to find tranquility and relaxation.
Mui Doi (Double Cape)
There's much debate about the easternmost point of Vietnam between Dai Lanh Cape (Phu Yen) and Mui Doi (Khanh Hoa), but for many adventurers, Mui Doi, located in Hon Gom Peninsula, Van Thanh Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province, is the continental part they want to conquer.

Mui Doi – Hon Dau is situated on the Hon Gom Peninsula in Van Phong Bay, belonging to Van Thanh Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province. It's called Mui Doi because at a certain spot, two stone formations jut out into the East Sea. Mui Doi is also known as Cape Ba Dau, offering stunning natural landscapes with unique rock formations. Moreover, Mui Doi is the easternmost point and the earliest sunrise spot in the S-shaped land.
