2. Giac Lam Pagoda

One of the beautiful and ancient pagodas in Saigon, built in 1744 and still standing today. Giac Lam Pagoda is also known by various other names such as Son Can Pagoda, Cam Son, or Cam Đệm.
Giac Lam Pagoda features a typical architecture for southern pagodas, with a three-letter layout and 98 supporting columns. Inside, it is adorned with 113 ancient statues made from various beautiful materials.

Inside the pagoda, numerous precious materials showcase its rich history, culture, and architectural artistry. A unique feature distinguishes Giac Lam Pagoda from others – the use of nearly 7,500 delicately crafted plates along the walls of the Buddha hall, ancestral tower, western corridor, and roof. This distinctive element led to Giac Lam Pagoda being recognized by the Vietnam Record Center as the pagoda with the most decorative plates in Vietnam.

3. Xa Loi Pagoda
- Address: 89 Ba Huyen Thanh Quan – Ward 7 – District 3 – Ho Chi Minh City

It can be said that Xa Loi Pagoda is one of the first pagodas in Ho Chi Minh City built in an entirely new architectural style. The upper part is the main hall, and the lower part is the lecture hall. Moreover, the pagoda is a historical witness to the Buddhists' struggle against the authoritarian regime of Ngo Dinh Diem, who discriminated against and oppressed religions.

The pagoda is constructed to worship the founder of Buddhism, so it is named Xa Loi Pagoda. The structure of the pagoda includes the main hall dedicated to Buddha Shakyamuni, a lecture hall, a library, a bell tower, offices, congregational halls, a monks' residence, a book publishing room, meditation rooms, a guest room, and restrooms.

Moreover, it also houses the tallest bell tower in Vietnam, consisting of 7 floors, each floor dedicated to a Buddha and standing 32 meters tall. Especially, the highest floor holds a giant bell weighing up to 2 tons.

4. Vinh Nghiem Pagoda

According to legend, the pagoda was built from the reign of King Ly Thai To (1010-1028) to the reign of King Tran Thanh Tong (1258-1278), with high-ranking monks contributing to its grandeur. King Tran Nhan Tong (1258-1308) renounced the throne to become a monk at Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, establishing the Vietnamese Buddhist Meditation School.

5. The One-Pillar Pagoda
