Beyond its alias 'Núi Sam,' this peak is also known by names such as Vĩnh Tế Mountain or Ngọc Lãnh Mountain. Situated in the Vĩnh Tế commune, now the Núi Sam ward, Châu Đốc city, An Giang province, Vietnam, the mountain is distinct. Interestingly, for An Giang travel enthusiasts, while the 'Seven Mountains' are well-known, Núi Sam is not part of this mountain range.

Núi Sam is just a few kilometers west of the Châu Đốc city center and approximately 62km northwest of the Long Xuyên city center. If you're in Saigon, you can take a bus to Châu Đốc or Long Xuyên and then follow these routes.

– Starting from Long Xuyên city, follow the national highway 91 towards Châu Đốc city. After covering a few more kilometers, you'll arrive at the Núi Sam Tourist Area.
– If you're in Châu Đốc city, take the old national highway 91 for about 6km to reach the Núi Sam Tourist Area.

In the past, Núi Sam was adorned with numerous phoenix and apricot blossom trees sprouting from mountain crevices. Each blossoming season transformed the mountain scenery distinctly, painting it in vibrant shades of vivid red. At the mountain's summit, remnants of a fortress from the French colonial era and stone pedestals where the statue of Bà Chúa Xứ once stood before being relocated to a temple can still be explored and admired by visitors.

These locations have been officially recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as national-level historical sites in need of preservation and development.
