Quang Binh boasts numerous cultural festivals closely tied to tourism development, such as the annual boat race on the Kiến Giang River in Lệ Thủy - the homeland of General Võ Nguyên Giáp, held every September 2nd. Other highlights include the annual fishing bridge festival on the 14th day of the fourth lunar month at Bảo Ninh Sea and the drum beating festival of the Ma Coong people, organized on the 16th day of the first lunar month to celebrate the new moon.
