For easier operation, refer to the control panel of the LG washing machine. This is a reference image and not all LG washing machines are designed exactly like this.
- 1 is the power button to turn the machine on or off.
- 2 is the START/PAUSE button for starting or pausing the washing cycle.
- 3 is the display screen showing settings, estimating remaining time, options, and status notifications.
- 4 is the rotary knob to select the washing program (usually 14 programs, depending on the type of laundry).

For regular washing, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Press the POWER button to start the machine.
- Step 2: Rotate the program selection knob, usually choosing Mix for mixed loads of clothes.
- Step 3: Select the Temperature and Spin options on the display screen.
- Step 4: Press START/PAUSE to smoothly operate the machine.
- You don't necessarily have to wash with hot water; you can choose Cold to save both energy and washing time.
Selecting additional washing programs
Still follow Step 1 and Step 2 as in basic washing. But in Step 3, choose additional washing programs using the other Auxiliary Function buttons. Then operate by pressing the START/PAUSE button.
When setting a delay timer – Delay End is the time the program ends, not starts. To cancel this function, simply press the power button. Note that liquid detergents should not be used for this function. For Pre Wash and Crease Care programs, press and hold for 3 seconds to set successfully.

While the machine is running, press Add Item. If the LED light is on, you can add or remove clothes while the machine is in the initial washing phase.

Note:
- For safety, avoid adding clothes if the temperature or water level inside the drum is high.
- When using LG washing machines, avoid letting laundry get stuck in the door latch as it can damage the door seal and cause water leakage.
- When the drum has a lot of water or soap suds, avoid opening the door, as water may spill out, making the floor slippery and posing a danger to you and your loved ones.
Setting up the child lock feature
For a safer use of LG washing machines, it's essential to know how to set up the child lock. This prevents interference from young children or any external factors that could impact the machine. Simply press and hold the Child Lock button for 3 seconds. Once done, the child lock feature is activated, locking all buttons except the power button. To disable this feature, press and hold the respective button for 3 seconds. Note that even turning off the power does not deactivate the child lock.
