Hoanh Diem is not just a tourist destination but also a hub for shooting numerous films in China
Hoanh Diem is a multifaceted complex embracing tourism, film production, and resort activities. It constructs unique historical scenes of China from ancient times to the Republican era. Established in 1996 for the grand historical film 'The Opium War' directed by Tan Tan, it later officially opened its doors to visitors, earning the title 'China's Hollywood' by the American Hollywood Magazine.
The film studio is located in Hoanh Diem Dong Duong Town, Kim Hoa City, Tien Giang Province. Over the past 20 years, Hoanh Diem Group has invested nearly 3 billion CNY in building 13 more scenes, spanning both Northern and Southern regions with histories exceeding a thousand years. Locations include Guangzhou streets, Hong Kong streets, Ming-Qing dynastic palaces, Qin imperial palace, Thanh Minh Thang Ha Du, Hoa Ha Cultural Park, Binh Nham Dong Phu, Dai Tri Zen Monastery, and two colossal modern studios. Consequently, Hoanh Diem has become the preferred choice for large-scale film and television productions, serving as China's only national-level film and television experiment base. To reach Hoanh Diem Film Studio, visitors can choose to travel by motorbike or train. Hoanh Diem is 18km from Dong Duong Town center and 180km from Hangzhou and On Chau.
