Ban Gioc Waterfall is situated along the flow of the Quay Son River, located in the geological park of Cao Bang in the administrative division of Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang. The waterfall has a height of over 30m, with large water masses cascading down multiple layers of limestone rocks. In the middle of the waterfall, there is a spacious land mass, dividing the river into three water currents and serving as the location of the Vietnam-China border landmark.
