The cost for a two-day Dong Thap tour is approximately 1.2 million dong per person.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong – Sa Dec – Cao Lanh – Tram Chim National Park – Cao Lanh
At 7am: From Ho Chi Minh City, you can take a car, motorbike, or high-quality bus priced at 95,000 dong per ticket to Cao Lanh City.
If you drive yourself, you can stop in Sa Dec to visit the ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le, the main setting of the movie The Lover. The house is built with precious wood, exuding the traditional appearance of a three-compartment house in the Southwest region.
Upon arriving in Cao Lanh, take a break for lunch and check into your room. There are many hotels and guesthouses in the central area (near National Highway 30) such as on Vo Truong Toan Street, Ngo Thoi Nham Street, Ngo Quyen Street. Room rates range from 150,000 to 300,000 dong per night. Alternatively, the Hoa An resort (next to the tomb of Nguyen Sinh Sac) is a model of Southern wooden stilt houses, featuring wooden floors, tables and chairs, furniture, and utensils reminiscent of the aristocracy in the past. The double room rate is 600,000 dong, and the price for a large house with five double beds is 2.2 million dong.

For lunch, there are two famous large restaurants, Ngoc Lan and Ba Tam, known for their spacious settings and wide variety of dishes to choose from.
At 2 p.m.: Visit Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong district. During the floating season, boating amidst the green water ferns and vast melaleuca forests is a very interesting experience during your Dong Thap trip. This is also the season when many bird species gather to breed and lay eggs. It is recommended to join a tour to take a motorboat, with a visit lasting about 2-3 hours and detailed commentary by a guide on the ecosystem, various plants, birds, rice fields, etc. The price for a boat is 500,000-800,000 dong.

In the evening, return to Cao Lanh. After dinner, you can take a stroll around the park and monuments. The streets and gardens here are filled with lotus flowers, creating a beautiful scene.
Day 2: Xeo Quyt – Phuoc Kien Pagoda – My Tho – Ho Chi Minh City
Situated in My Long commune, Cao Lanh district, the historical site combined with eco-tourism Xeo Quyt covers an area of about 50 hectares with mangrove forests, lotus gun ponds, and a handicraft village reenactment area. Entrance fee is 5,000 dong, and the ticket for a three-leaf boat ride is 15,000 dong. Visitors sit on small boats (3-5 people), gliding through the narrow waterways of the mangrove forest, experiencing both excitement and a bit of fear.

Phuoc Kien Pagoda, also known as Lotus Leaf Pagoda, located in Chau Thanh district, is famous for its lotus pond with leaves as big as a large fan, where a person can stand on top.

Then take the route through Cai Lay or My Tho to return to Ho Chi Minh City. Along the way, you can stop to enjoy hu tieu (noodle soup), banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancake), snakehead fish porridge with bitter vegetables, etc.
