The forest is often shrouded in dense mist during the day. Apart from its role as the 'green lungs,' the park showcases its significance through a rich and diverse ecosystem with numerous high-level plant species across various plant families.

Ba Vi National Park features three types of forests: evergreen tropical rainforests, mixed evergreen and deciduous forests, and evergreen tropical rainforests on low mountains. The local ecosystem boasts 342 forest animal species, over 1,200 plant species, and more than 550 insect species, including many unique animal and insect species.

The animal kingdom in Ba Vi boasts 63 species of mammals, featuring rare gems like the civet, large squirrel, white pheasant, land dragon, water scorpion, and white-tailed dragonfly. The plant kingdom treasures 21 rare species listed in the 'Vietnam Red Book,' including the blue orchid, honey fern, three-nosed phyllodium, white-striped pine, fairy flower, lobster beard, and silk thread. Thanks to its cool and humid climate, Ba Vi National Park is an ideal habitat for numerous orchid species.

2. Fairy Lake (Ho Tien Sa)
Fairy Lake is linked to the legend of celestial maidens descending to earth. In ancient times, these celestial maidens would descend from the heavens to bathe in the cool waters of Ba Vi. Lost in merriment, they would often forget and hurriedly return to the sky as night fell, leaving behind a draped cloth. This cloth is likened to the ethereal clouds drifting atop Tan Vien Peak, never to be lost. The waterbody where the celestial maidens used to bathe is now known as Fairy Lake.

Suoi Hai Lake is a man-made freshwater lake known for its picturesque beauty. Every year, numerous Ba Vi tourists flock here to admire the lake, engage in recreational activities, row boats, and camp. Suoi Hai Lake, located at the foot of Ba Vi Mountain, covers an area of 10 km2, with a water storage capacity of up to 100 million m3. It serves as a water source for over 7,000 hectares of flowers, preventing drought and helping control water levels on the Tich River.

Visitors can explore the lake on small boats and observe various bird species in this area. Many bird species call this place home, including storks, eagles, geese, kingfishers, swans, cranes, and more. Suoi Hai Lake is twice the size of West Lake, with a vast and stable water surface. Surrounding the lake is a natural forest ecosystem with diverse flora and fauna. Standing on the main dam of the lake, one can admire the surrounding scenery with its small and large islands, extensive primeval forests, and the majestic Tan Vien Mountain range.
