Quy Nhơn beckons all with its pristine beaches, stunning coral reefs rivaling those of Cù Lao Chàm, and the enchanting Thị Nại River bridge aglow with evening lights.
Discover Quy Nhơn in a 3-Day Excursion: A Journey to Paradise
Quy Nhơn city is renowned for its endless stretches of sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, akin to the beauty of Bãi Dài, Bãi Xếp, Hòn Khô, and Bãi Kỳ Co. Allowing yourself 3-4 days is ample time to explore the highlights of this region.
Transportation Options
There are several ways to travel from Hanoi (or Ho Chi Minh City) to Quy Nhơn: sleeper buses, trains, or flights. However, for a 3-day journey, opting for a flight is recommended to save time. Each flight lasts only about 1 hour and 30 minutes, landing at Phù Cát Airport (approximately 30 km from the city center).
When visiting Quy Nhơn for a vacation, consider renting a motorbike for around 150,000 dong per day, or opt for a taxi as some tourist spots are not too far apart.
Itinerary
Day 1: Phu Cat Airport – Hoi Van Hot Springs – Quang Trung Museum – Ham Ho Tourist Area

After the lengthy flight procedures, soaking in the hot springs is an ideal choice for every traveler. Hoi Van Hot Springs (in Cat Trinh commune, Phu Cat district) is approximately 48 km from downtown Quy Nhơn, with natural hot water streams at temperatures around 70-80 degrees Celsius. Legend has it that this is a fairy water stream bestowed upon the Cham Pa princess to cure illnesses, hence it is also called the Fairy Springs.
Quang Trung Museum (just 3 km from Hoi Van Hot Springs) is where artifacts related to the Tay Son movement and Emperor Quang Trung are preserved. Here, you can explore artifacts and enjoy unique performances showcasing Tay Son martial arts and Quang Trung's battle drums, folk music and dances, etc.
Heading further on National Highway 19, about 6 km away, you'll arrive at the Ham Ho tourist area. Here, there are various services for tourists: boating on the Kut River, bathing in streams, fishing, bonfires, etc. In the evening, it's recommended to stay at a hotel within the tourist area and enjoy some local cuisine.
Day 2: Banh It Tower – Hon Kho Island – Dam Thi Nai Lagoon – Thi Nai Bridge – Surf Bar

Mentioning Binh Dinh or Quy Nhon is mentioning the culture of Champa temples, and Banh It tower is more famous than others. You should spend time exploring the Champa culture in the mid-morning, then move to Nhon Hai commune and rent a boat to Hon Kho Island.
Hon Kho Island is one of the few beautiful beaches that still retains its wild and rustic features. The sea here has clear, clean water, and tourism is not too crowded. The coral reef here is diverse and beautiful, no less than the coral reefs in Cu Lao Cham. You should rent diving goggles and immerse yourself in the colorful 'aquarium' space.

Around 3 p.m., leave Hon Kho to go to Thi Nai Lagoon, located near Quy Nhon City to the northeast. This place has a rich ecosystem of mangrove forests. In the late afternoon, flocks of birds flying back create a unique and unforgettable natural scenery.
The gentle evening begins with a drive on Thi Nai Bridge to feel the peaceful beauty of the city. The bridge has a total length of nearly 2,500 meters, making it the longest sea-crossing bridge in Vietnam, also a pride of the martial land's people.
Surf Bar will be a stop where you can best feel the life of the people in Quy Nhon. The tranquility and slow but joyful lifestyle are vividly demonstrated in a gentle bar right by the sea. Enjoying beer, savoring grilled squid, and chatting after a long day, you will feel Quy Nhon like home, like family.
Note: It's advisable to book your hotel room in downtown Quy Nhon or Nhơn Lý commune on Monday night for easy travel the next day.
Day 3: Eo Gió – Ky Co Beach

For a long time, Eo Gió has been bestowed by travelers as the 'most beautiful sunset spot in Vietnam'. After breathtaking moments witnessing the sunrise at Eo Gió, await the boat to head to Kỳ Co Beach, known as the Jeju Island of Vietnam, for its beautiful, enchanting, and tranquil coastline.
If traveling in a group, you can bring food, tents, and camp overnight, resting your head on the sand, listening to the soothing waves as a temporary farewell to the beloved coastal land.
Cuisine

Quy Nhon can delight even the most discerning culinary enthusiasts, as long as you have 200,000 VND in hand. In addition to popular seafood dishes, Quy Nhon offers various unique specialties for both on-site enjoyment and souvenirs.
When it comes to the land of the Tây Sơn martial arts, one cannot overlook the mention of spiky leaf cakes. These cakes have a soft texture made from finely ground glutinous rice flour mixed with spiky leaves and sugar, while the filling consists of mung bean and coconut rice. Upon consumption, the cakes are delightfully chewy yet not sticky, fragrant with rice, rich with oil, and slightly nutty from the beans.
Moreover, you can seek and savor various dishes such as Chợ Huyện spring rolls (from the Bánh Ít region), Song Thằn noodles (from An Nhơn area), coconut water rice paper, Quy Nhơn fish cake noodles, or pork offal vermicelli, and shrimp pancakes.
When visiting Quy Nhơn for tourism, if you wish to purchase specialty gifts, nothing is more splendid and suitable than Mỹ An fermented anchovies, Bàu Đá wine, or spiky leaf cakes.
