1. Poem: Sunflowers and Autumn
SUNFLOWERS AND AUTUMN
Poem by Tran Dieu Huong
The autumn sky glows
Flowers bloom in the garden
The sun still lingers
Resting on the sunflower branches.
The sun urges eagerly
Calling the sunflowers to autumn
The sunflowers nod in response
Adorning themselves with silk-like hues.
Morning dew still lingers
Fragrant upon the sunflowers
Sunflowers blossom golden
Glowing in the new sunlight.
Autumn lush and verdant
Sunflowers evoke golden sun
Welcoming the arrival of autumn
Golden glow of sunflowers.

REMEMBERING TRUONG SA ISLAND
Poem by Tran Dieu Huong
Forever remembering you intensely
So I write love poems again
The sky not yet lit with dawn
Waves crash passionately onto the shore.
The wind on the island rises fervently
Like a tight kiss embracing you
My love forever verdant
Happiness beside you... love... longing.

A poignant portrayal of the poet Tran Dieu HuongPoem: You Came to Visit Me
YOU CAME TO VISIT ME... Where you come, the scent of flowers tranquil and still Deep within me, echoes the march of soldiers Where you come, a blanket of green leaves spread The uniform color of you and your comrades Today here, amidst the vast expanse of blue Replacing words with the silent flame of sincerity You sleep, yet your military uniform remains green Like your youth, barely eighteen I stand silently, missing you dearly Rain pours, tears brim on the edge of my eyes You sleep, forever engraved in the annals of our Homeland You lie down, sacrificed for the Motherland Today here, our Vietnam gains Independence and Freedom A dream cherished for a thousand lifetimes The red flag flies high, shining bright everywhere You have inscribed history with your shining pen Sleep now, soldier!... Our Homeland, free from shadows Sleep tight, soldier!... The autumn dreams... Serene... Hanoi: July 22, 2018

Enchanting Autumn
Poem by: Tran Dieu Huong
Oh love, you keep waiting endlessly
The scent of lotus spreading all around us
Embracing memories of a past carefully hidden
Forever intense, the bond of friendship hears you.
Autumn has arrived, the last lotus of the season fragrant
The sun gentle, the sky of old memories
You, neither too beautiful nor too gentle, just enough
Gently, autumn charms beside me.

Autumn Awaits Love
Poem by: Tran Dieu Huong
On the first day of autumn, the sun fades faintly
The scent of lotus lingers around the pond, intoxicating
The willow branches, forever yearning
Still waiting for the love, memories of you.
Early autumn, sadness fills the air, dew moistens, clouds green
The wind ceases, flowers on the branches wither
Oh Beloved, my heart nurtures
Waiting for a day, autumn charms beside you.
