The update named Windows 11 Insider Preview 22598 (NI_RELEASE) introduces additional shortcuts for the Task Manager, updates the File Explorer with a new homepage, and includes various other improvements.
Windows 11 Build 22598 enhances wallpaper features
Discover the Latest Taskbar Shortcuts:
- Shortcut keys like Run New Task (ALT + N), End Task (ALT + E), Efficiency Mode (ALT + V), and other buttons on each tab. Press ALT to display letters next to the buttons.
- Use CTRL + Tab and CTRL + Shift + Tab to navigate through tabs in the Task Manager window.

In terms of improvements, Microsoft is experimenting with enabling Windows Spotlight by default. This will provide users with new wallpapers every day and the opportunity to learn more about the displayed images. For users with 4K screens, Microsoft is also testing 4K wallpapers for Windows Spotlight. However, these enhancements are currently being tested with a limited group of users.

Additionally, the company is working to make the Get Started app automatically run after an upgrade to help users identify the Windows version they have upgraded to. This enhancement is being tested with a limited number of Insider users.
Another notable change is that the tooltip for the volume icon on the Taskbar will now display additional information when hovering over it, allowing users to know if they are using spatial sound or not.
