Unveiling the Galaxy Z Flip5According to leaker Ahmed Qwaider, the Galaxy Z Flip5 boasts a durability improvement of over 50% compared to Galaxy Z Flip4. The new model is rumored to feature a 30% enhanced Flex Mode and a 45% improved design. However, leaked sources do not delve into specific details. Galaxy Z Flip5 is expected to feature a 3.4-inch secondary display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a main Dynamic AMOLED 2x 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it is said to be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability.
Today's sources also reveal that the Galaxy Z Flip5 will feature a dual 12MP + 12MP camera setup with Gorilla Glass DX protection for the camera lenses. The device boasts a 10MP selfie camera, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor, 3,700mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support, and an IPX8 rating for water resistance. It is worth noting that the hinge of the Galaxy Z Flip5 is designed to withstand 200,000 folds and unfolds, similar to the Z Flip4.
On the software front, Samsung is set to provide more camera settings on the external display. They will also introduce password protection for it. To conserve battery, the phone's inner screen will turn off when the device is folded at a 20-degree angle. The Galaxy Z Flip5 is rumored to have a slim profile, measuring only 15.1mm when fully folded.
