Discover 4 distinct traditional craft villages in Ninh Thuan during your travels.
1. Bau Truc Pottery Village

Regarded as the cradle of Cham traditional weaving, My Nghiep Village is one of the two most famous traditional villages in the province. Despite centuries of existence, the hand weaving craft has been maintained and developed to this day, making it a beloved destination for Ninh Thuan tourism enthusiasts.

The primary material defining My Nghiep's weaving brand is cotton grown locally. After harvesting, the cotton is separated, spun, rolled, soaked, pressed, dyed, dried, combed, polished, and then sun-dried to produce the final product for weaving.

Dyeing process is considered crucial, requiring high experience and aesthetics to mix colors in a diverse and harmonious way. My Nghiep village chooses black as the base color for the fabric. All colors are made from leaves, tree bark, such as black from the leaves of bauhinia trees soaked in young mud, red from the resin of sterculia lychnophora trees, green from the leaves of bamboo trees...

Creating vibrant and exquisite batik fabric is an intricate process mastered by the women of My Nghiep village. Apart from raw batik products, the craft village now offers a wide range of diverse items including sarongs, Cham scarves, handbags, wallets, shirts, jackets, dresses, hats, tablecloths, bedspreads...

3. Ca Na fish sauce craft village
The coastal region of Ca Na is blessed with a plentiful harvest of tiny shrimp annually exceeding 10,000 tons. This serves as the main ingredient for producing the deeply flavorful traditional fish sauce of the local residents. After a year of fermenting the shrimp in salt and undergoing various meticulous processes, it results in a premium fish sauce with a rich aroma, enticing flavor, and captivating golden hue. Hundreds of thousands of liters of Ca Na shrimp fish sauce are introduced to the market each year, appearing in the meals of numerous Vietnamese families.

4. An Thanh mat craft village
An Thanh is a lowland area, hence, sedge, the main material for weaving mats, thrives here. Mats come in various types, sizes, and patterns such as square cotton mats, white mats, floral mats, shell-patterned mats... With intricate designs and high softness, An Thanh sedge mats have twice the lifespan compared to other types, making them highly favored in the market.

1. Vineyard Villages
When visiting Ninh Thuan for tourism, you must explore the renowned vineyard villages. Grapes have long been the specialty of this sunny and windy region in the Central Vietnam. Exploring the vineyards to understand more about the locals' grape cultivation is an unforgettable experience.

Ninh Thuan is a province with harsh climate, little rain, abundant sunshine, and lots of wind, boasting nearly 2,900 hours of sunlight per year. However, the harshness of this land is an advantage for grape cultivation. In addition, by capturing the tourism trend, grape cultivation combined with eco-tourism models of Thai An Agriculture Cooperative, Ba Moi grape farm, Hoang Yen grape farm... have attracted many tourists. Besides fresh grapes, the vineyards also produce grape juice and grape honey for tourists to taste and buy as gifts.
