A survey by specialized agencies and the People's Committee of Chu Pah district shows that this is the Ia Ruai rock stream located in Ia Ly town and Ia Phi commune, Chu Pah district. The stream flows through many villages in Ia Ly town and Ia Phi commune before pouring into the reservoir of the Ia Ly hydropower plant.

On the stretch to Van village of Ia Ly town, about 1km long, emerges a natural rock bed, concentrated most densely about 30 meters apart. On both sides of the stream are hexagonal stone columns, similar to each other, arranged closely together into large, solid blocks, resembling those at Ganh Da Dia – a special national monument in Phu Yen province.

The Jrai ethnic community in this area takes great pride in the stream and ancient rock bed, hoping for its preservation.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province has announced that this is a potential tourist destination, capable of building a scientific dossier proposing the provincial heritage ranking, requiring preservation and maintenance of the current status. Accordingly, the Department will continue to survey to develop tourism plans, supplement the inventory list, and plan to submit a dossier proposing the heritage ranking for this location in the near future.
