Finally, the developers have executed the Bermuda Plan and released this new map. The new Military Island 2.0 map will not affect the existing standard Military Island map. It will be a standalone map available for download with a size of over 85MB, equivalent to the Paradise Island map.
This is an optional map that players can choose to download or not. Additionally, the Military Island 2.0 map will still feature classic and ranked gameplay modes when it is released on January 1, 2021. According to Garena, the Military Island 2.0 map will certainly include 4 new locations, the first change you might notice is the increased height of the Peak area, now resembling a true mountain. The 4 new locations added to the Purgatory Island 2.0 map include:
- Hydropower: Added between Riverside and Plantation.
- Academy: Replacing the Graveyard area.
- Fisherman Greek: Replacing the Rim Nam Village area.
- Yagami Garden: Replacing the Sentosa area.
