Exploring Dong Duong Market in the early morning is an adventure worth taking. It's the prime time to immerse in the vibrant local life, especially when you can secure the freshest catch of the day.
One of the highlights of my journey is undoubtedly Dong Duong Market. Early mornings here offer the best opportunity to savor the freshest and finest catches, enriching your culinary experience with local flavors.

Navigating through the bustling stalls and selecting the perfect fish isn't a walk in the park. With a myriad of choices and competition from other buyers, it's a challenging task. But the reward lies in acquiring the freshest and most delectable fish.

Exploring the fish sauce production facility is a must-do. Phu Quoc fish sauce is renowned for its exceptional quality, and like many curious visitors, I was keen to delve into the intricate process behind its production. Despite language barriers, the passionate staff guided me through the steps, offering insights into the art of fish sauce making.
Prepare yourself for olfactory challenges as you step into the facility, but witnessing the meticulous process and indulging in the end product's flavorsome goodness make it a worthwhile experience.

Embarking on this journey requires mental preparation and an openness to unfamiliar scents. However, witnessing the creation of a delectable product and sampling it make for an unforgettable experience.

Dinh Cau – Phu Quoc's Enchanting Landmark
From the center of Duong Dong town, head west on 30/4 Street, then turn left onto Bach Dang Street for about 200m to reach the historical site of Dinh Cau. Dinh Cau sits atop a picturesque rock formation jutting into the sea, offering not just stunning natural vistas but also a sense of serenity with the cool sea breeze. Nearby, the bustling night market awaits, offering a plethora of local souvenirs for evening shoppers.

Bai Sao Beach lies to the south of the island and is acclaimed as one of Phu Quoc's most pristine and beautiful beaches, with its powdery white sands unrivaled by any other beach. After a refreshing swim in Bai Sao's warm waters, we indulged in a delicious seafood lunch at a nearby restaurant. Dining on fresh seafood by such a stunning beach is an experience every traveler craves.

Where to Stay in Phu Quoc?
In previous visits to Phu Quoc, I've stayed at the Saigon Resort & Spa Phu Quoc and the Thien Hai Son Phu Quoc Resort. However, this time we opted for Mango Bay – an exceptional eco-resort. Its wooden bungalows and eco-friendly amenities foster a deep connection with nature. One drawback is the presence of mosquitoes at night, so be sure to come prepared with repellents.

The beach at the resort is pristine and tranquil, perfect for swimming. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mango Bay despite the availability of more budget-friendly options in Phu Quoc.
