Amongst bustling cities, Da Nang stands out as the most dynamic and adventurous. Consequently, it boasts numerous exciting attractions.
Aware that it lacks the 'heritage fortune' like its neighboring provinces Quang Nam and Hue - renowned for their UNESCO-recognized landmarks (Quang Nam with Hoi An, My Son; and Hue with the Imperial City, a series of mausoleums, and court music), Da Nang adopts the motto 'if it's not there, create it.' Da Nang tourism has taken bold steps to attract and retain visitors. Up to now, Da Nang's innovations can be considered relatively successful, exceeding tourists' expectations.
City-wide wifi coverage officially implemented
While Da Nang isn't the first city to experiment with free wifi installation, it's the quickest to make it official nationwide. On July 10th, Da Nang officially achieved city-wide wifi coverage, significantly resolving technical issues such as slow connections or intermittent disruptions.

With 330 broadcasting stations installed throughout the city, free wifi not only serves residents and tourists in central districts but also those in suburban areas. However, free doesn't mean unlimited usage. Currently, free wifi in Da Nang allows users around 20 minutes per session.
Asia Park and Sun Wheel
Asia Park stands as the premier amusement park in Southeast Asia with a whopping investment of 4 trillion VND. Situated east of the Memorial Monument, along the 2/9 Street by the western bank of the Han River, right at the foot of Tuyen Son Bridge. According to the plan, the park will be divided into 4 main functional zones: cultural park, amusement park, multi-purpose performance area, and parking lot.

Specifically, the amusement park zone will feature up to 60 games, including 20 thrilling ones. However, currently, only the Sun Wheel has officially commenced operation. Soaring at 115m, this giant ferris wheel rotates at a speed of 16 minutes per round and can accommodate a maximum of 384 passengers per ride with 64 cabins. From the Sun Wheel, you can see all of Da Nang, leaving no district unseen. It ranks among the top 10 largest ferris wheels in the world.
The city 'intoxicated' with milk flower
If you're traveling to Da Nang for leisure on September 2nd, prepare yourself a bit to not feel suffocated and uncomfortable here. Because this is the time when milk flowers start to bloom, and the city of Da Nang has many milk flower trees planted everywhere. Essentially, if Da Nang hasn't done it, then it's done; if done, it's done extensively. The act of planting milk flowers is similar; in the movement 'everyone plants milk flowers, every household plants milk flowers' that emerged in the Central region over a decade ago, nobody embraced it as enthusiastically as the people of Da Nang.

Consequence: During milk flower season, many people living along streets like Phan Thanh, Hoang Dieu, Dong Da, or Ha Huy Tap all want to move out because they can't bear the constant 'torture' of the extremely intense scent of thick milk flowers lining the streets day and night. As for those in alleys, unless it's absolutely necessary, they're reluctant to venture out. Unlucky eateries surrounded by 2 to 3 milk flower trees also lose many customers for that reason.
Pork Belly Wrapped Rice Paper Rolls
Essentially, the pork belly wrapped rice paper rolls in Da Nang are no different from Trang Bang rice paper rolls in the south. The only difference is that the pork belly has only 2 ends of skin, besides the thin rice paper, there's also wet rice cake. The secret of sticking an extra piece of skin at the other end of the meat piece remains a Da Nang local secret.

However, apart from that, Da Nang's rice paper rolls are no tastier than Trang Bang's in the South. In fact, it's slightly inferior, as the accompanying vegetables are not as abundant as in Trang Bang. Moreover, compared to the general price level in Da Nang, it's relatively expensive. Therefore, for those from the South who have eaten many delicious Trang Bang rice paper rolls, skipping this dish is also fine.
Dragon Bridge Spewing Fire
Dragon Bridge epitomizes the utmost extravagance of Da Nang locals. The Dragon Bridge is the 7th bridge crossing the Han River, located at the roundabout of Le Dinh Duong - Bach Dang. Besides basic elements like other bridges, the Dragon Bridge also features a steel dragon painted in gold curling around the bridge's body. The project is expected to become the future symbol of this young city.

Apart from its decorative function, the dragon on Dragon Bridge also serves two other incredibly impressive functions: water spouting and fire breathing. What this dragon spouts every 21 hours on weekends and holidays is real fire and water, not laser effects. Therefore, if you're traveling to Da Nang on September 2nd, you'll surely witness a real fire-breathing dragon, not just in legends.
Guinness World Record-breaking Cable Car
It can be firmly asserted that without the magnificent cable car system, Ba Na Hills tourist area would not have the status it enjoys today, even though it has many favorable conditions itself. To construct the cable car lines that take tourists from the ground to the peak of Ba Na at an altitude of over 1400 meters above sea level, Da Nang city has invested a great deal of effort and resources.

In February 2013, shortly after inaugurating the third cable car line, Ba Na received delightful news as Guinness recognized it as the only cable car system to achieve 4 world records: The longest single-line cable car in the world with a total length of over 5.771km; the highest elevation difference between departure and arrival stations in the world with a difference of over 1.368km; the longest unjointed cable length in the world with 11.587m, and the heaviest cable reel in the world weighing 141.24 tons.
