The historical complex of Hung Temple consists of the Lower Temple and Pagoda, the Well Temple, the Middle Temple, the Upper Temple, and the tomb of King Hung.
On the 10th of March lunar calendar annually, a ceremony is held here to commemorate the Hung Kings. This festival attracts numerous tourists from both domestic and international locations, paying tribute to the Hung Kings who played a vital role in building and defending the nation.
Currently, the Hung Vuong Museum is constructed within the historical site, featuring a relatively large scale and exhibiting various artifacts from the period of Hung Kings, showcasing the cultural evolution from the Stone Age to the Bronze and Iron Ages.
Chau Ao Pond
Ao Chau Pond, located in Ha Hoa town, communes of Am Thuong, Y Son, and Phu Khanh, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province. When viewed from above, the pond resembles the head of a buffalo with two horns extending on both sides towards the Thao River and the Lo River. This tourist destination has 99 alleys, winding through hills, mountains, collecting water from 99 small streams.
Legend has it that in ancient times, King Hung and the court officials were enchanted and captivated by the picturesque scenery resembling a watercolor painting here. Especially, during the sightseeing, the king witnessed a fierce battle between two golden buffaloes. Therefore, locals also call this spot Kim Nguu Lake or Golden Buffalo Lake.
After enduring various ups and downs over time, Ao Chau Pond now covers an area of 30 hectares, contributing to a bountiful harvest for the surrounding large area, surrounded by a lush vegetation carpet. Particularly, throughout the year, the water in Ao Chau never dries up, the clear water surface remains unpolluted, and many aquatic species inhabit, including rare ones like golden turtles, cobras, strip... The pond has many large and small islands, traditionally used by locals to grow fruit trees such as lychee, longan, jackfruit, grapefruit... Benefiting from the natural advantages, Ao Chau is often likened to a miniature Ha Long Bay by many tourists.
