(Homeland) - This weekend, Steam will showcase a plethora of engaging free games.
Robocraft 2
RoboCraft 2 unfolds a century after the events of the first version. Humanity returns to Mars to continue the conquest and division of the planet. The key lies in vehicles that can excel on diverse terrains. From ordinary cars to tanks, submarines, and armored vehicles, emerge victorious in intense races.
Everything in RoboCraft II is crafted using blocks, as the game's name suggests. Even the environment and game logic are shaped by blocks. Logic blocks create varied gameplay, unique UIs, and alter the scoring system. Developers curate the best player creations for potential inclusion in each update.
Europa Universalis IV
The game predominantly unfolds during the era when European nations began exploring and establishing colonies in the New World. It spans the late Hundred Years' War, the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire, and extends through the revolutionary periods of the United States and France, encompassing the post-European wars era.
However, throughout the gameplay, players determine the course of history, so by the end of the game, the in-game world can diverge significantly from reality. Players can choose from hundreds of nations during this time, ranging from powerful empires like Spain, France, and England to regional powers in the Middle East or Bavaria, or even diverse groups like Native American tribes or Eastern entities such as the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Isonzo
Isonzo is the sequel to the renowned World War I game series by Blackmill Games.
Isonzo is set on the Italian front, mirroring its predecessors. The game promises to be incredibly realistic and detailed, built upon meticulous research of this period. Matt Hergaarden, co-founder of Blackmill Games, stated, 'The Italian front provides an excellent opportunity for us to elevate the genre of global World War I games, both figuratively and literally.'
According to Hergaarden, the new mountain gameplay in Isonzo will introduce a fresh dynamic to the gaming genre, simultaneously providing unprecedented insights into the Italian army's struggle against the Austro-Hungarian forces, a perspective not witnessed in previous installments of the series.
