Venture through a path of rugged stones, leading to a crystal-clear stream. The water flows gently, yet large stones lie across the streambed, posing a challenge for the courageous and skilled riders. During the dry season, the water reaches only knee-high, but it tests the bravery and maneuvering skills of the adventurous souls.

Continuing along a worn trail for over a kilometer reveals another enchanting stream. By the fifth stream, motorcycles can no longer proceed. Here, three welcoming Dao families reside. We left our bikes at their homes and embarked on a trek.

Walking approximately 2 kilometers on a rustic path involves crossing streams and weaving through bamboo clusters, bending under the lush foliage. The trek leads to the breathtaking Ba Ao waterfall.
The majestic waterfall stands adjacent to bamboo and lush bamboo forests. The forest breeze playfully dances on the bamboo tips, intertwining with the melodious sound of flowing water. The white hues of water foam against the backdrop of green leaves and the three water ponds beneath the cascades create a serene yet vibrant atmosphere.

Perhaps, it's these three water ponds beneath the waterfall that inspired locals to name it Ba Ao, meaning 'Three Stone Ponds'—a name bestowed upon this land by Mother Nature's whims.

The water in the ponds is remarkably clean and clear, tempting many young adventurers to take a refreshing plunge or capture moments harmonizing with the pristine beauty of nature.
We make sure to capture the rollercoaster of emotions along the challenging journey to the waterfall and the mesmerizing beauty of the cascading waters. It feels rewarding to overcome the intense expedition, followed by a shared delight in a rustic feast amidst the open sky, immersed in joy and enthusiasm.
