After exploring the area, you return to the hand-rowing boat transfer point and take a break. This area offers lunch services, where you can savor the distinctive dishes of the Mekong Delta, such as hotpot and sour soup. If you want to enjoy the panoramic view of the cajuput forest, climb up to the observation tower right here.
Sam Mountain Lady Temple
The Lady Temple is located about 5 km from the center of Chau Doc. Despite the major annual celebration from the 23rd to the 27th of the lunar April, the temple attracts many locals and tourists for daily visits. Besides admiring the temple's architecture and the Sam Mountain scenery, visitors can also indulge in shopping, as the place is bustling with traders and stalls, reminiscent of Chau Doc Market.

From downtown Chau Doc, travelers can take the Chau Giang ferry, priced at 5,000 VND per person and motorcycle. It is an interesting stop for those interested in exploring the culture, architecture, and people of the Cham ethnic group. The tranquil atmosphere, people dressed in traditional costumes, and the preservation of many aspects of their ethnic beauty make it a unique experience.
In the Chau Giang Cham village, visitors can admire mosques built in Islamic style with large prayer halls or traditional stilt houses reflecting Cham culture. Some houses in the village also engage in handmade sponge cake production using bronze molds and the technique of using hot coal to bake the cakes. If heading towards Tan Chau, you can also discover those who preserve the traditional weaving craft.
Most fascinating are the village weddings, where you can observe and learn more about the Cham people's customs and traditions.
Tinh Bien Border Market
The market is just about 2 km from the international customs gate, bustling with both Vietnamese and Cambodian traders. Strolling around the market, you'll find a variety of unique items, not commonly seen elsewhere, such as dried rodents, imitation goods, and insects. If the borderland sun wears you out, the tea and food stalls surrounding the market are perfect for a rest. A large coconut costs 10,000 – 15,000 VND or a bottle of coconut water ranges from 5,000 – 10,000 VND, refreshing and rejuvenating.
