Quản Bạ's Twin Mountains boast the natural beauty bestowed by Mother Nature, entwined with the legendary tale of Cô Tiên. This folklore has been passed down through generations. The Twin Mountains are linked to numerous mythical stories cherished by the local ethnic groups, transcending time. Legend has it that in this land, there was a charming H’mông young man with the skill of playing the mouth harp. The melodious tunes of his instrument captivated the heart of a celestial being from the upper realm named Hoa Đào. Smitten, she sought to stay in this land, leading to their marriage and the birth of an adorable son.
Ngọc Hoàng, the Jade Emperor, discovered Hoa Đào's escape to the mortal realm and, in fury, sent someone to bring her back. Left alone to raise their child, facing the challenges of a motherless infancy, she left behind her two breasts in the mortal world for her child to feed on. These breasts, once plump and nurturing, transformed into two mountain peaks resembling a mother's bosom, a symbol of love and sacrifice.
