Chiaki BBQ – Buffet Grilled and Hotpot at 75 Dai Co Viet offers a rich menu of over 100 dishes and an authentic Japanese-style ambiance. Conveniently located and easy to find.
Tonight, I ventured to Chiaki BBQ for dinner, now penning down my review to provide a reference for those seeking a dining spot for the upcoming March 8th celebration.
Our group of 5 indulged in the grilled and hotpot buffet, availing a 12% discount by booking through PASGO. Thus, from 269,000vnđ per serving, it reduced to 237,000vnđ per serving. Here are some insights about the restaurant:
Location and Ambiance of Chiaki BBQ
Finding your way to Chiaki BBQ is a breeze. The restaurant sits right at number 75 on the spacious Dai Co Viet street, rarely congested even during peak hours. Its frontage is quite attractive, airy, and tidy, leaving a positive first impression on customers.
The restaurant boasts a 3-storey space for customers to choose according to their dining purposes, whether it's for gatherings, fun with friends, relaxation, or intimate family gatherings.
Inside, the restaurant exudes elegance with wall paint and furnishings in two dominant tones of yellow and red. The cushioned seats are exceptionally comfortable.
Overall, taking your date to dine here is quite nice :)

Chiaki BBQ offers a buffet menu with nearly 100 diverse dishes
The buffet menu is extensive, featuring over 100 dishes. The seasoning of the dishes is quite satisfactory. Although not exceptionally delicious, considering the price of over 200k per person, it's entirely acceptable.

Diverse menu with plenty of options to choose from
That day, we indulged quite a bit. Particularly, one aspect we really liked about the restaurant is the grilled menu. In general, both grilled and hotpot dishes come with plenty of accompaniments. The grilled selection includes various types of fresh meats and seafood such as: pork belly, pork cartilage, American beef, chicken, octopus, salmon, blood cockles, squid, clams, oysters, saba zaki fish…and a variety of other vegetables.

When indulging in a buffet, seafood is the way to go. 'I feel sorry for that girl' who's allergic to seafood =)) The plate in the photo shows clams and mussels!
The dishes are marinated quite meticulously, so when grilled, they emit a tantalizing aroma. Upon chewing, you'll taste the rich seasoning, satisfying your palate. Especially the various seafood items like shrimp, fish, squid, clams… are incredibly fresh, making them taste entirely different from those stored for a long time.

I can't recall the name of this noodle dish, but it's quite tasty. If anyone has tried this dish at Chiaki BBQ, please share the name!

Breaded fried shrimp (shrimp tempura). Besides, Chiaki BBQ also offers various other types of tempura for you to choose from

This fried dish is quite delicious too. But don't indulge too much in this type, or have it last. Save your stomach for the 'bowl' of seafood and some exotic dishes :)

A few bites of Chiaki BBQ's rice rolls and you'll feel full already!!!
Additionally, if you're not fond of grilling or have already had your fill but still want more, you can opt for hotpot. One of the hottest hotpot broths at Chiaki BBQ is miso hotpot, spicy miso hotpot, and shabu hotpot. If you enjoy spicy food, go for option number 2, while those who prefer light and refreshing dishes, shabu is a perfect choice… no need for adjustments!
Especially, in the dessert menu of Chiaki BBQ, there's a delicious ice cream dish. My favorites are sweet potato and vanilla ice cream! Additionally, there are some other fruit dessert options for you to choose from.

Service Attitude of Staff at Chiaki BBQ
The atmosphere at Chiaki BBQ is quite relaxed, with prompt service. The staff are obedient and polite, swiftly clearing dishes without leaving customers hungry or waiting for their orders.
Personally, I highly appreciate this aspect. Since Chiaki BBQ operates as a call-order buffet, waiting for food can be quite annoying and frustrating.
To further explain to some of you about the call-order buffet style: It's similar to self-service buffets where, for a certain amount of money, you can eat to your heart's content from the menu. However, instead of getting up and selecting food from the dishes displayed on the counters, you simply sit down, choose from the menu, and then request the server to bring it to you.
Service rating: 5/5
In conclusion, both I and my group of friends had a pretty good impression of this restaurant, so if given the chance, we will definitely come back.
