A Deep Dive into Da Nang’s Unique Skylight Tunnel
Part of the western traffic node upgrade project at Tran Thi Ly Bridge, Da Nang, this three-level tunnel stretches nearly 903m in length and 14.5m-15.5m in width, built with a budget of 723 billion VND.
Featuring unique square skylights that harness natural light, the tunnel mirrors European design and stands as Da Nang's longest tunnel.
Safety rails above the skylights and a comprehensive lighting system along the ceiling ensure the safety of both pedestrians and vehicles.
The Tran Thi Ly Bridge's western traffic node upgrade is a major initiative in Da Nang aimed at reducing traffic congestion at the 2/9 – Nguyen Van Troi – Tran Thi Ly junction. It also enhances connectivity to Da Nang International Airport and the eastern sea routes, quickly becoming a favorite spot for tourists.
