1. Heritage Route Da Nang/Hue – Paradise Cave – Phong Nha
Da Nang, centrally located in Central Vietnam, serves as a bridge connecting the world's cultural heritages into one entity. Just 30km away from Da Nang, the ancient town of Hoi An warmly welcomes visitors from all over. And just a short distance further lies the silent, mystical sanctuary of My Son. Heading north about 100km, travelers can reach the imperial capital and the courtly music of Hue. Da Nang is not only the focal point of three world heritages but also boasts numerous breathtaking landmarks that visitors will find unforgettable.
Exploring Phong Nha – Ke Bang alongside Da Nang might pose some challenges, but with Da Nang's international airport, the North-South railway, and countless travel companies, you can easily find the best services for your journey.
2. International Fireworks Festival

Starting from 2008 with the participation of international fireworks teams from all over the world, the festival has brought stunning, elaborate, and grand performances to the people of Da Nang and tourists. Over the years, the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition has become one of the remarkable cultural events not only of Da Nang city but also of Vietnam, attracting the attention of people nationwide and international tourists.

3. City of Bridges
Da Nang is not only known as a green, clean, beautiful, civilized, friendly, and livable city, but it also has the romantic Han River flowing through the city and unique bridges spanning this river.

The most prominent one is the Han River swing bridge, still the only swing bridge in Vietnam that arouses curiosity among locals and tourists visiting Da Nang. More recently, visitors can stroll on the Tran Thi Ly Bridge with its sail-shaped cable strands illuminated by unique color-changing LED lights. Not far away is the Dragon Bridge with its special design resembling a dragon winding through the Han River, capable of spraying water and fire to surely excite visitors. Or on a peaceful day, tourists can visit the Thuan Phuoc Bridge crossing the sea to admire the convergence of the Han River and the Danang Bay, and feel the grandeur of nature.
4. Fashion Frustration
For girls planning a trip to Da Nang, packing both wool scarves and bikinis is completely normal. Swimwear for My Khe beach; a Maxi dress for the breezy Han River; and even an Ao Dai for visiting temples and the ancient town of Hoi An… Not to mention coats and wool scarves if heading to misty Ba Na Hills.
Never before has traveling to a city required preparing such contrasting fashion styles. However, it's an incredibly exciting and worthwhile thing for us to explore.
5. Boasting the most beautiful beach on the planet

Da Nang's beach stretches nearly 60km with numerous stunning stretches of coastline from the foot of Hai Van Pass to Non Nuoc. It's known to international travelers as one of the most ideal relaxation and beach bathing spots in Asia. Forbes Magazine – USA has voted Da Nang Beach as one of the 6 most enchanting beaches on the planet, alongside Bahia Beach – Brazil, Bondi Beach – Australia, Castelo Beach – Portugal, Las Minitas – Dominican Republic, and Wailea in the state of Hawaii, USA.
6. The city that doesn't beg
'No beggars wandering around' is one of the 5 criteria that Da Nang has been striving for over the years. Accordingly, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs focuses on propagating and encouraging beggars to return to their localities; rectifying street vendors who aggressively approach tourists in inner-city districts. When beggars or street vendors are found not complying with regulations, citizens report them to local authorities; each informant receives a reward of 200,000 VND. These efforts by the city government of Da Nang have created a beautiful urban landscape in the hearts of tourists and international friends. Although not officially recognized, in the hearts of many, Da Nang is truly the most livable city.
7. Cable car route setting world records

The Ba Na cable car was built to replace the previously treacherous road. The new cable route with 86 open-designed cabins, traveling at 6m/s, allows tourists to experience the weather at an altitude of over 1,000 meters during operation. From the foot of the mountain, tourists can reach the summit of Ba Na in just 30 minutes and enjoy various entertainment services as well as resorting at Ba Na Hills Resort.
This route achieves 4 world records, including: Longest: 5,801m; Largest difference in height: 1,368m; Total length of longest cable: 11,587m; Heaviest cable strand: 141.24 tons.
At the inauguration ceremony, representatives from the Guinness organization presented certificates for the 4 records to Ba Na Hills.
8. Non Nuoc Stone Sculpture Village

Non Nuoc Stone Sculpture Village in Da Nang has existed for a long time, according to elderly artisans in the village, the craft of Non Nuoc stone sculpture dates back nearly 200 years. At Non Nuoc Stone Sculpture Village, tourists can choose from a variety of unique and valuable souvenirs meticulously carved by skilled artisans, from small stone pieces to large statues weighing tens of tons. While Vietnam has many traditional stone carving villages, it can be said that only Non Nuoc Village at the foot of Marble Mountains truly brings this unique handicraft closer to tourists, and expands its reputation from domestic to international friends.
9. Central Vietnam Culinary Center
It would be remiss not to mention Da Nang cuisine in this article. While Da Nang cuisine may not be as sophisticated as Hanoi or as diverse as Saigon, it carries the unique characteristics of Central Vietnamese cuisine. The typical dishes of the sunny and windy Central region such as fish noodle soup, fermented fish noodle soup, spring rolls, Binh Dinh fermented pork, Phu Yen stone crab wine, Quang noodles, Cao Lau, Hoi An chicken rice, to the intricate dishes from Hue are all present in Da Nang. You can easily find them on the streets of Da Nang. And if you have the chance, you should visit Con Market or Han Market, to discover the world of hidden snacks within. In the evening, head to My Khe Beach to immerse yourself in the lively seafood feasts at the eateries here.
