With its stunning landscapes, rich culture, the northernmost region of Hà Giang always captivates travel enthusiasts. Check out this super detailed 3-day itinerary for a complete journey.
Adventure-packed Hà Giang Expedition: 3 Days, 2 Nights
– Transportation:
I flew from Cần Thơ to Hà Nội and waited until 9 p.m. to board the Cung Điện bus (0968749528), priced at 300k per one-way trip. This luxury bus offers massage chairs and spacious beds, almost twice the size of regular sleeper buses. Departing at 9 p.m. from Hà Nội, I arrived in Hà Giang at 4 a.m., where I stayed at Thu Huyền Hotel.

– Motorcycle Rental:
For exceptional tour guidance and motorbike rental, contact Mr. Phan Anh at 034 9771668. He is incredibly attentive and enthusiastic, offering rentals at 150k per day inclusive of raincoats, luggage straps, and rain boots, essential for your journey.
– Where to Stay:
On the first night, immerse yourself in the life of the Lô Lô people by booking a stay at the LoLo Ancient House managed by Ms. Phạm Hằng, who is exceptionally warm and friendly.
For the second night, check into Hoàng Ngọc Hotel in Đồng Văn. It's a spacious and clean hotel with all the amenities you need.

Day 1: Starting from Hà Giang , visit Milestone 0, Bac Sum Pass, Twin Mountain, Quản Bạ Heaven Gate, H’mong Village, Yên Minh Town, Thẩm Mã Pass, Pao's House, and Lũng Cú.
Start your day with a delicious bowl of beef pho for 35k, guided by Mr. Phan Anh.

4. The journey is adorned with scenic beauty throughout, hence it's advisable to limit frequent stops as it may consume much time getting to Dong Van or Lung Cu, especially hazardous after dusk. We embarked around 8-9 am and reached Lung Cu by 7 pm.
5. A golden rule for travel is whenever encountering unfamiliar or suspicious routes, consult locals to avoid getting too far off track. Fuel stations are sparse along the way, so refilling whenever there's one ensures peace of mind.
6. It's wise to pack some bread or fruits for snacks and carry plenty of water.
