Fu Xuan, the newly introduced 5-star character in the quantum leap event of Honkai: Star Rail, is the astrologer of the Guardian faction, specializing in Quantum element with unique team-protecting skills. This has sparked heated debates among the gaming community regarding her gear build and the destiny path to choose for her in the STMU.
Fu Xuan in Honkai: Star Rail is known as an astrologer and serves as the leader of the Celestial Phenomenon in Xianzhou Luofu. She's the character who saves players from Kafka's bullets in the main storyline of Xianzhou Luofu. With a playstyle sharing team damage to herself and equipped to boost HP fully, Fu Xuan seems to be incompatible with Qlipoth in the Simulation Universe at many points, and here's why.

Why Fu Xuan Isn't Suitable for the Guardian in the Simulation Universe
The Sole Strength When Paired with the Guardian
Fu Xuan's usual role is to protect teammates by sharing damage, reducing damage, healing, or even increasing max health, critical rate, and resistance. Additionally, she adopts a full HP build rather than a defensive one. With unique roles within the Guardian faction and, most importantly, an inability to naturally create a shield, this Honkai Star Rail character plays more like a Wealthy Harmony support rather than a pure Guardian.
In the Simulation Universe, the Guardian is an Aeon that requires characters to have at least one shield-generating character, relying heavily on defensive stats to provide relevant benefits. While some 1-star blessings from the Guardian can create shields, these shield amounts are often quite low and do not last beyond three turns in battle.
Given Fu Xuan's playstyle and the nature of the Guardian, she almost receives no benefits when paired with the Guardian. Instead, if you insist on pairing Fu Xuan with the Guardian, additional slots like Main Pyro or Gepard are needed.
The only thing the Celestial Phenomenon boss can truly absorb from Qlipoth is blessings related to HP and self-generated shields, such as Compensation, Guardian, Mending, Vigilance, or at most, the resonance structure: Eutetic, due to its high HP pool.
Effective Fu Xuan Team Compositions in STMU
As analyzed by Mytour in the first part, Fu Xuan's major weakness in the Simulation Universe lies in the difficulty of fitting her with dominant destinies. Instead, allocate the destiny path slot and blessings to other characters in the lineup. Partly because this character is already robust, and partly because HP is rarely affected in the Simulation Universe. Therefore, Mytour suggests some unique team compositions that deviate from the usual playstyle but still leverage the effectiveness of this astrologer.
Super Healing Team: Blade - Fu Xuan - Bailu - Lynx
Blade - Fu Xuan - Bailu - LynxThis is an interesting setup in Honkai: Star Rail, focusing heavily on HP stats. Blade is a character who dislikes Guardian units that specialize in shield buffs, as it reduces Blade's FUA efficiency. However, “Fú Xuân” is the most notable exception as this character doesn't buff any shields. Moreover, both main characters along with the two characters behind them have large HP builds from players. Therefore, the key is to use Wealthy Harmony as the core and combine it with blessings from Hunting, Joy, and adding Differential Equation of Annihilation (Destroy) to handle the worlds in the Simulation Universe effectively.
Mono Quantum Team: Seele - Silver Wolf - Lynx - Fu Xuan
Seele - Silver Wolf - Lynx - Fu XuanIn a Mono Quantum team, the biggest advantage comes from Silver Wolf and Seele, as the hacker can apply Quantum Seal permanently. Waiting for her turn, Seele, equipped with the Genius Emission relic, can use all her skills on the boss and potentially have 2 turns in a battle, even in the final stages of the world. Lynx and Fu Xuan play the roles of SP generation and sustaining the team's survival. Lynx can be replaced with other effective support cards like Bronya, but the efficiency will be significantly lower. Players can use blessings like Hunting or Annihilation to complement this lineup, similar to other teams with Seele.
These are just two of the many lineups that Fu Xuan can utilize if players know how to leverage her abilities. However, in essence, players should not dwell too much on whether she performs well in the Simulation Universe. Instead, focus on DPS or at least the gamer's supports first.
