Many of you have been asking for detailed advice and cost planning to explore Langkawi Island extensively, so today Quỷ has finally sat down to write about it. Hope it helps you plan an exciting holiday trip!

Duration: 4 days 3 nights, December 2018
EXPENSES:
- Airfare: Saigon – Kuala Lumpur round trip. $200 per person. Kuala Lumpur – Langkawi round trip $70 per person. Total: $270 per person.
- Quỷ highly recommends booking island services in advance from Vietnam for convenience and efficiency. All island transportation and activities are booked through Klook, for better cost estimation from Vietnam, avoiding ticket shortages, overpricing, and waiting time. Quỷ booked 7 services, besides, there are many other interesting services but due to time constraints, Quỷ didn't purchase for next time:
- SIM 4G Malaysia (Langkawi- pick up at LGK airport): $15 pick up at the airport is very convenient, you can pick up at Kul or Langkawi airport.
- Rent Private Car From Langkawi International Airport (LGK) to Langkawi Island: $35/way x 2 = $70. Cheaper than taxi.
- Rent Private Car In Langkawi: you are free to use the car for 8 hours including driver and local guide: $50/day. If you go with 4 people/car, it's extremely cheap. This is Quỷ's favorite service because it's very suitable for the criteria of free exploration, you can ask the driver to take you anywhere on the island, no need to be tourist spots.
- Crocodile Adventureland Ticket: $10. This area is quite interesting with many fun activities with crocodiles as well as educating children.
- Langkawi Underwater World Ticket: $20. The aquarium is very attractive with many rare marine creatures that other places don't have.
- Langkawi Wildlife Park Ticket: $13 this area is for those who like to take photos with birds and other animals, so fascinating. The little ones will be excited and thrilled. Hahaha
- Transfers from KL airport to hotel.
- KLCC Aquarium in Kuala Lumpur: $18. This place is in Kuala Lumpur, Quỷ thinks it's so beautiful so Quỷ went there immediately. Quỷ rates this place as extremely worth visiting because it's so beautiful.
=> So the total cost of transportation and activities on the island is: $135 per person

- Food and beverage, then the average is $100 per person per day x 4 = $400. This is Quỷ's calculation for comfortable eating and drinking.
- Other entertainment and miscellaneous expenses: $200
TOTAL TRIP EXPENSES: $1,000.
These expenses vary depending on the airfare. If you get cheap tickets, it will be much lower. Other expenses, if you buy on-site, will be more expensive, so Quỷ advises booking in advance. Oh, Quỷ notes you a detail that Klook has supported payment via electronic wallet MoMo, or directly on the website and mobile.

This is a comprehensive area like Ba Na Hill, with various dining, entertainment, 3D art, movie theater, children's play area, dinosaur park, shopping... Descend back to the center after 1.2 hours. Then visit the largest aquarium on the island with hundreds of marine creatures. After visiting, go to the food area only 100m away for a sumptuous dinner.

Day 4:

Things to note for the best trip preparation
- Essentials: Quỷ won't mention basic stuff, in addition, you need beachwear, sunscreen, sandals for walking on sand, universal socket adapter.
- Medication: mosquito repellent as there are many mosquitoes, various medications if you have personal health issues, fever and cold medicine, digestive medicine, aromatic balm, eye drops (because buying them is a bit difficult).
- Food: basic Malaysian food is not difficult to eat, besides, there are many Thai, Chinese, European restaurants... so no need to worry about food. Just go to Jalan Pantai Chenang downtown area and you're set, 800 restaurants from cheap to expensive.
- Payment: the whole island is duty-free so you'll probably enjoy shopping, you can use Visa, Mastercard almost everywhere, cash can be exchanged beforehand in Vietnam, if you forget it's okay because there are plenty of money exchange places in the night market area, especially many places accept Vietnamese currency.
- Local culture: the locals are very friendly and sincere so rest assured. When taking their photos, just ask for permission and they'll be fine, avoid secretly taking photos of women covering their faces, or else their husbands might give you a 'lesson'. Hahaha just kidding, they're very kind.
