The cuisine here is just as excellent as those astonishing architectural wonders, and you will feel completely justified when you come here.
The dietary regime in Chefchaouen has been recognized as UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. Fresh fruit juice is sold in 500ml bottles at affordable prices. The salted lamb with dried apricots is delicious and enticing.
The meat is cooked for many hours until it absorbs the sweet taste of apricots and becomes soft enough to melt in your mouth. Balbout bread (a type of bread made from semolina flour) served with goat cheese, honey, and black olive oil will be a perfect choice for breakfast.
Each ingredient here is considered a premium version compared to other regions.
As dusk falls, the streets gradually empty, and the green color of the city slowly turns into shades of orange under street lights. But that doesn't mean Chefchaouen loses its unique charm.
