A distant view of the Sanctuary of Truth
The next day we visited the Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya. Also known as the Castle of Truth, this temple is constructed entirely of wood and is the largest wooden temple in Pattaya. Construction began on August 13, 1981, and after 25 years of work, it is still undergoing additional construction and renovations. Admission tickets range from 500 Baht to 950 Baht for adults. However, tickets can be purchased online for a slightly lower price, around 355 Baht (approximately 240,000 VND). Tickets include a guided tour available in Chinese, Thai, English, and other languages.
After purchasing tickets, we walked about a hundred meters to reach the temple. Along the way, there is an area with horse stables and lush greenery.

Wooden carving details
The Sanctuary of Truth boasts a unique architecture inspired by the beliefs of Hinduism, Buddhism, and is divided into four distinct wings spreading out in four directions. It consists of 5 main halls: the Hall of Origin, the Hall of the Creative Universe, the hall displaying human sculptures, the fourth and fifth halls talking about love, compassion, and sharing.

One unique feature of the Sanctuary of Truth is the absence of nails; artisans used a special type of glue or wooden pegs to connect joints. The Sanctuary of Truth depicts the seven essential elements in human formation: Heaven, Earth, Father, Mother, Moon, Sun, and stars through exquisite carvings.

In 2023, it celebrated its 131st anniversary along Yaowarat Road, the main thoroughfare of the Chinese community. Along both sides of the street, there are numerous eateries and buildings with distinctively Chinese architecture. As evening falls, the area becomes lively and bustling.

Heading back to Vietnam
The next day, we took some time to rest after a rather lively night. At 12:00, we checked out and wandered around shopping centers for some gifts, getting ready to head to the airport to return to Vietnam after 3 days of exploring Thailand. For me, Thailand is a country that you'll hardly ever get tired of, as it seems like every year there are countless new places popping up, becoming not only phenomena for Thai tourism but also for international tourists. However, the longstanding attractions in Thailand still hold a charm for travelers who have been to Thailand like me. Hopefully, with my experiences in Pattaya and Bangkok, it will provide you with many interesting destinations and a different itinerary for your next trip to Thailand.
