3 days 2 nights experiencing homestays, exploring Paradise Cave, Mooc Cave, Dark Cave, and indulging in various Quang Binh specialties for only 2.3 million dong.
Discovering Quang Binh with a group of 10 friends
Our group of 10 arrived in Quang Binh with the aim of having fun, experiencing new things, and exploring the hidden gems of this Central region.
Accommodation
We opted to stay at a homestay on Truong Phap street, located about 4-5 km from the city center. Despite the distance, the place offers tranquility, cleanliness, a garden, and adorable pets.
We booked a dormitory room for 6 people, including 1 double bed and 2 bunk beds for 890,000 VND. If you wish to add mattresses, the extra fee is 60,000 VND per person. This pricing is more economical compared to hotels and guesthouses. The homestay here offers various room styles, so it's advisable to call in advance for detailed consultation.

Overall, accommodation prices in Quang Binh are reasonable, and choosing the Truong Phap street area will be closer to the beach.
Transportation
Traveling from Hanoi to Quang Binh by coach is a sensible choice. We departed from Tran Khat Chan street (Hanoi) with a ticket price of 200,000 VND per person per way. It's best to choose the latest departure time, around 8:30 PM, to arrive in Dong Hoi the next day, just in time for 5 AM.
We rented motorbikes (150,000 VND/bike) as our mode of transportation during the trip. You can also rely on the bike rental service here; returning the bike to the hotel and returning it the next day is still counted as one day. However, you should choose bikes carefully to avoid breakdowns. Due to the hot weather in Quang Binh and the relatively distant attractions, traveling by motorbike may not be the optimal choice.
Additionally, you can also travel by taxi to more distant, convenient, and comfortable destinations while still saving money if traveling in a group.
Looking for adventure in Quang Binh?
Quang Binh boasts several famous attractions such as Paradise Cave, Mooc Spring, Dark Cave, Nhat Le Beach, Con Co Island, and Jumping Rock Beach.
The entrance fee for Mooc Spring is 180,000 VND per person, including swimming, boating, and games. The ticket price for Dark Cave is 270,000 VND per person, including swimming, boating, ziplining, and underwater games. If you want to experience the mud bath in Dark Cave, the price is 450,000 VND per person.
The tourist spots of Paradise Cave, Mooc Spring, and Dark Cave are all close to each other, so plan your itinerary to visit 2 places in a day to save on transportation costs. We took a taxi for round trip, costing 1 million VND for 10 people.
Indulge in a variety of culinary delights
During our 3-day stay in Quang Binh, we had the opportunity to sample almost all of the famous dishes here.

– Rice paper rolls, nậm cake, grilled cake: These are rustic dishes of this land. They become some of the most distinctive dishes when visiting Quang Binh.
– Savoury pancakes: Similar to southern-style pancakes but larger, crispier, more elaborately prepared, and especially served with a flavorful dipping sauce.
– Grilled skewers, grilled meat vermicelli: Delicious and affordable dishes for tourists when visiting Dong Hoi.
– Rice cooked in a clay pot: We dined at a famous restaurant on Ly Thuong Kiet Street, offering a menu with many simple yet enticing dishes such as braised prawns, braised tuna, braised mudfish…
– Rice porridge soup: One of the common breakfast dishes of the people in Quang Binh. The banh canh noodles are handmade, so they are quite thick, soft, and chewy, and the broth is made from seafood and bones, rich in sea flavors.
