This is the largest freshwater crab species in Vietnam, reaching up to 10cm in length. Its claws are asymmetrical, with one being larger than the other, yet both are sturdy enough to tear leaves and consume various plant species. An interesting trait of this crab is its ability to regrow its claws if broken. Scientists are still in the process of studying and identifying this unique crab species.
