What is Skytrex?
This is a renowned adventure activity in Langkawi, requiring participants to navigate between the tallest tree tops by swinging through the air or balancing on ropes stretched across the tropical forest canopy.
Looks innocent, but the suspension bridge hangs almost 30m above the ground!
Is it safe?
Absolutely safe! Before playing, I was equipped with full safety harness and gloves for body protection. Then, 1 to 2 trainers guided me on getting familiar with the rope-swinging tools before conquering the challenge myself. Throughout the activity, 2 to 3 personnel patrolled below to ensure no mishaps occur. It's so safe that even kids aged 12 and above can enjoy the thrill!

There are 5 play sessions every day, so make sure to arrive about 30 minutes before the scheduled start. On my Skytrex day, I was just 15 minutes late and couldn't get in; had to wait nearly 2 hours for the next available slot.

3 levels of Skytrex adventure
Skytrex Adventure Levels and Pricing
First up is the Little Legend Adventure (for beginners): Featuring 18 challenges designed at heights ranging from 3 - 5 meters, suitable for all ages including young children.
The second tier is Eagle Thrill with 29 different challenges, testing players' courage at a height of 11 meters, including 8 zip lines, 5 tree climbs, 5 traverses, and more.
The ultimate and highest level is Island Extreme. This is the level I chose to test my abilities. It includes 33 challenges at a height of 15 meters, spanning over 3 hours, demanding a certain level of patience and endurance.
My Adventure Experience!
My level 3 experience was quite challenging, involving a lot of climbing, but the exhilaration after conquering all challenges was truly uplifting. Remember to have a full meal before playing, as once you're in the forest, carrying food and drinks can be tricky and unsafe. Similarly, bringing a camera is difficult, but you can use your phone or GoPro to capture moments.
They also provide various amenities like a beverage counter, storage lockers, and ample parking, ensuring a complete experience for players.
The adventurous zip-lining experience here brought me excitement and joy as I overcame my fears, expanding my view amidst the treetops and enjoying the natural mountainous landscape with fascination. If you're an adventure enthusiast, this is definitely a worthwhile choice to test your limits.
