Along the way, there are several pit stops where you can pause to rest, admire the scenery, and savor the local specialty, mountainous bamboo-cooked rice.

Lác Village
Lác Village is a tranquil hamlet, steeped in the rich cultural heritage of the White Thai people. With a history spanning over 700 years, Lác Village was originally sustained by rice cultivation and traditional weaving. Over time, its beauty was uncovered, leading to the development of tourism, making Lác Village a focal point in Mai Châu tourism, and Hòa Bình tourism in general.

Gò Lao Waterfall
Gò Lao Waterfall, also known as Mu Stream Waterfall, is situated in Phúc Sạn commune, Mai Châu district. This captivating destination attracts many tourists due to its pristine natural beauty, rugged and irresistible. Bà Chúa Thác Bờ Temple
A temple nestled on the shores of a vast lake amidst the heart of Hòa Bình, behind which lies an extensive system of limestone caves. The temple venerates two female generals, Đinh Thị Vân of the Muong ethnic group and a Dao lady, who once aided King Lê Lợi with military supplies, navigating boats past the Bờ Rapids to advance troops to Mường Lễ, Sơn La, suppressing the rebellion of the Đèo Cát Hãn insurgents.

In 2009, Bờ Cave was recognized as a national scenic heritage site. From January to March each year, numerous festivals are held here to welcome visitors, who come to offer incense, express gratitude, and pray for blessings.

Hòa Bình Hydroelectric Plant
An iconic landmark of Hòa Bình city. The plant was constructed from 1979 to 1991 on the Đà River. Prior to being surpassed by the Sơn La hydroelectric plant, Hòa Bình Hydroelectric Plant was the largest hydroelectric plant in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Besides significantly contributing to the national power grid, the Hòa Bình Hydroelectric Plant also symbolizes the friendship between Vietnam and the Soviet Union in the past, as the project received financial aid, construction assistance, and operational guidance from the Soviet Union.
