Touring the Coldest Village on Earth: Oymyakon, Russia

Amos Chapple, a photographer hailing from New Zealand, spent two days exploring this village, ensuring not to miss the chance to capture its daily life and rhythms.
Upon arriving in Oymyakon, where temperatures dropped to -47°C, he confessed to venturing out unprepared, wearing only thin pants and immediately experiencing the biting cold.
'The cold was so intense that I felt my feet becoming numb, even my saliva froze, and my lips felt like they were being pricked with needles,' stated Amos to BoredPanda on January 19th.
However, enduring freezing temperatures wasn't his greatest challenge; rather, it was his camera occasionally freezing up, leaving him unsure how to zoom and focus for photos.
