Embarking on a Coastal Adventure for the April 30th Holiday
There are numerous suggestions for holiday destinations. However, if you're tired of the hustle and bustle, weary of modern comforts, then this is a fantastic idea for your 6-day holiday. It's a coastal motorbike journey from Saigon to Quy Nhon and back by train.
Night 0: Saigon – Vung Tau – 110km

This is undoubtedly a very familiar route for young travelers. You can check out the 36-hour exploration of Vung Tau City in 2015 by motorbike for more dining and entertainment options. You can swiftly travel this route from the afternoon, stay overnight in Vung Tau, and depart for Phan Thiet in the morning.
Day 1: Vung Tau – Phan Thiet – 160km

Along this route, from Vung Tau via Cua Lap Bridge to Long Hai, through Nuoc Ngot Pass marks the beginning of the coastal journey extending to Quy Nhon. Heading to Phan Thiet on DT719, you'll pass by Ke Ga Lighthouse, one of the 7 tallest lighthouses in Vietnam. Arriving in Phan Thiet means entering Binh Thuan Province with Phan Thiet Bay and Mui Ne's pristine beauty.
Day 2: Phan Thiet – Phan Rang – 190km

Continuing along DT716 to Bau Trang, from here turn right to bypass National Highway 1A and take the coastal road to Song Luy Bridge in Phan Ri Cua. However, the road is still under construction, with plenty of dust and sand, so be cautious with speed as vehicles can easily slip on the sand. Proceed along the coastal road to La Gan Cape and Seven Colored Stone Beach, also known as Co Thach tourist area. From here, to reach Ca Na Cape, you have to take National Highway 1A as there's no other route. Upon reaching the cape, turn right and continue along the new road to Phan Rang. On this new stretch, you can explore Dinh Cape, Dinh Cape Lighthouse, and Nam Cuong Sand Dunes in Phan Rang Bay, incredibly pristine and romantic.
Day 3: Phan Rang – Nha Trang – 137km

Though a short distance, you'll undoubtedly spend a lot of time due to the incredibly beautiful scenery. From Phan Rang, take DT702 to reach Vinh Hy Bay, Tay Sa Cape, Dang Lagoon, Da Vach Cape, Ca Tien Cape, Sop Cape, Cam Ranh Bay to National Highway 1A. Continue to My Ca Beach, then turn right onto DT6571 to travel along the long beach in Nha Trang. Enjoy a lively night in bustling Nha Trang and prepare for the journey to Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen.
Day 4: Nha Trang – Tuy Hoa – 200km

Starting on Pham Van Dong Road, Nha Trang, go straight via TL657, onto National Highway 1 and Nguyen Hue Street to closely follow Nha Phu Bay and Van Phong Bay. Upon reaching Tu Bong Bus Station – Dai Lanh, you can turn right onto TL651 to visit Mon Lagoon. This is the starting point for conquering Doi Cape – the Easternmost point of Vietnam. The road here is likened to a path to paradise, indescribably beautiful. Upon reaching Dai Lanh Beach, Vung Ro Bay, turn right onto National Highway 29, visit Dai Lanh Lighthouse, Dien Cape, also controversially known as the Easternmost point. Cross the Hung Vuong Bridge or Da Rang Bridge to enter Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province.
Day 5: Tuy Hoa – Quy Nhon – 115km

On this stretch, follow unnamed roads along the coast. You'll pass by Ganh Da Dia, a world-famous site with incredibly fascinating hexagonal basalt columns. Pass through Vung Lam, Xuan Dai, Quy Nhon Bays. Explore O Loan Lagoon, Thi Nai Lagoon, the longest sea-crossing bridge in Southeast Asia, and discover the 9 most beautiful beaches in Binh Dinh Province.
Day 6: Quy Nhon – Saigon (by train)
Park your motorbike and return to Saigon in a day. You'll have another exciting experience traveling by train with new scenery guaranteed to thrill you. The average price for a Quy Nhon – Saigon trip is 300,000 VND.
