In the coastal villages of Phu Hanh, Phu Hoi, Phu Luong, and Phu Son in An Ninh Dong commune (Tuy An district, Phu Yen), rocks are integral to daily life: from houses, roads, and bridges to cattle pens, all are constructed with stone.

Then there's the water channels, terraced fields, and wells... Nowadays, many tourists visiting Phu Yen to see the famous Ganh Da Dia cliffs by the coast of An Ninh Dong are unaware of these cultural stone spaces, while locals are gradually shifting to alternative materials.
Master Nguyen Hoai Son, president of the Phu Yen Union of Science and Technology Associations (editor of the Phu Yen Stone Culture Heritage project), believes that the lack of comprehensive and systematic research into the stone culture space has prevented effective preservation and valorization, which could attract tourists with exploratory tours.
