Dak Nong's natural wonders boast two remarkable highlights: majestic waterfalls and exquisite lakes. Take note of the following destinations for your upcoming trip.
Ta Dung Lake

Located 48 km from Gia Nghia town along National Highway 28, the winding uphill road will lead you to Ta Dung Lake in Dak Som commune, Dak G'long district. Nestled in a valley near Ta Dung mountain, the lake stands out like a serene, pristine mirror, adorned with scattered islands.
Amidst the majestic wilderness of mountains and forests, the picturesque beauty of the lake seems to paint a harmonious natural tableau. Combined with its tranquil and secluded ambiance, Ta Dung Lake offers travelers moments of relaxation immersed in nature. The lake is most beautiful from August to the end of the year, when the water accumulates, rises high, blending its deep blue hues with the lush greenery of the surrounding trees. Ea Sno Lake
Located 125 km from Gia Nghia town towards Buon Ma Thuot city, Ea Sno Lake in Dak Ro commune, Krông Nô district, boasts remarkable natural scenery. Sitting on a boat amidst the vast lake spanning over 80 hectares, you'll feel engulfed in the lush greenery of the overlapping hills, home to a diverse and rich ecosystem. Here, you can also explore the folklore and customs of the local residents. From Ea Sno Lake, tourists can travel upstream to Buon Choah or downstream on the Krông Nô River to Gia Long Waterfall or Dray Sap Waterfall.
West Dak Mil Lake
As its name suggests, the lake is situated west of Dak Mil town, on the route towards Gia Nghia town. This semi-artificial lake, covering an area of about 40 hectares, has been around since 1940. The lake area is now developed into a park with a circumference of 10 km. Like a gem of the town, West Dak Mil Lake exudes a serene beauty, reflecting the white clouds against the backdrop of the blue sky, housing numerous aquatic species within its depths.

Dray Sap Waterfall

Travelers visiting Dak Nong must definitely visit the Dray Sap - Gia Long - Trinh Nu waterfall cluster along the Serepok River, the most famous waterfall cluster in the Central Highlands, preserving fascinating legends. The name Dray Sap means 'Smoke Waterfall' because the waterfall cascades from a height of 20 meters, resembling a veil of mist.
The waterfall is located in Nam Ha commune, Krông Nô district, associated with a deeply faithful love legend. Amidst the pristine scenery of the jungle, the gray-red rocky cliffs stand solemnly, while the gushing white columns symbolize endless love.
Gia Long Waterfall
Adjacent to Dray Sap waterfall upstream is Gia Long waterfall, also known as upper Dray Sap waterfall. The water at this waterfall flows vigorously, pouring from a height of 50 meters into the Serepok River. The path to the waterfall crosses lush green forests with precious timber trees and is always filled with the sound of birdsong. The beauty of the waterfall will leave travelers in awe.
At Gia Long waterfall, there is a fairy bathing lake spanning hundreds of square meters, with water flowing from deep and cool mountain crevices. Immersing oneself in this water after visiting the waterfall will be an interesting experience for any traveler.
Trinh Nu Waterfall
Located at the upper source of the Krông Nô River, 1 km west of Cư Jut district center, Dak Nong, Trinh Nu waterfall attracts many tourists to admire its beauty. Here, there are rock formations forming mysterious caves. Along the winding stone paths, there are many charming little leaf huts for travelers to rest.
Here, you can relax amidst the serene nature, listening to the birdsong, and the sounds of the waterfall, driving away all worries. In addition, the waterfall is associated with a folk tale of a maiden throwing herself into the water to preserve true love. That romantic legend seems to add to the allure of this place.
Dak G’lun Waterfall

Dak G’Lun Waterfall is located in Dak R'Til commune, Tuy Duc district, about 60 km from Gia Nghia town. From a height of over 50 meters, the gushing water divides into two branches hanging gracefully on the rock wall like elegant silk ribbons. The sunlight shining through turns the water droplets into sparkling rainbows, creating a magical and enchanting scene. The poetic and romantic natural scenery further enhances the attractiveness of this waterfall.
Dak G’lun waterfall boasts a diverse and rich ecosystem as it is enveloped by over 1,000 hectares of forest. Amidst the verdant space echoing the sounds of the mountains, after visiting the waterfall, you can organize a picnic with friends right in the forest thanks to the spacious and flat land under the shade of the large trees.
Ba Tang Waterfall
Ba Tang Waterfall is a poetic outdoor destination, located about 8 km from Gia Nghia town along National Highway 14 towards Buon Ma Thuot. The stream flows through three consecutive waterfall layers over a length of about 40 meters before reaching the stream bed below. The first layer is only about 1.5 meters high. Not far from there is the second waterfall layer, where the water flows gracefully between the rocks and then cascades down from a height of about 2 meters, creating frothy white foam. The third waterfall layer is the main one, over 20 meters high, roaring day and night as it spills over both sides of the stream.
The stream is quite wide, with many shady groves along the banks, and around the waterfall are spacious flat areas suitable for camping. Travelers here will find it hard to take their eyes off the endless flowing water, spreading water vapor like a shimmering mist amidst the lush green mountains.
Gia Nghia Tea Hill
After exploring the lake and waterfalls, travelers can change the scenery by visiting Gia Nghia Tea Hill in Quang Khe commune, about 10 km from Gia Nghia town. Leisurely strolling up the hill from the foot, you can breathe in the fresh air and enjoy a panoramic view of the vast tea hills.
