After about 3 hours of driving, you'll reach the center of Thap Muoi district. Continuing along route 845, you'll encounter vast lotus fields. In the distance, shimmering under the sun, are fields of pink lotuses amidst lush green leaves. Here, visitors can take a boat ride through the lotus fields or be paddled by locals to fully experience the immense beauty of this place.
Tram Chim National Park
Following a lunch break amidst the lotus fields, from Thap Muoi, drive approximately 40km along provincial route 844 to reach Tram Chim National Park.
Tram Chim National Park, located in Tam Nong district, Dong Thap province, covers an area of 7313 hectares and is home to over 130 species of rare birds. Tram Chim is most beautiful during the flooding season, around November and December, when flocks of birds return to forage and hunt amidst the vast water fields, adorned with the yellow of wildflowers, the purple of water lilies, and the green of cajeput forests... Visitors should arrive before 4 p.m. as the boat tour takes about 1 hour round trip.

Visiting Tram Chim at dawn offers an incredibly exciting experience, blending with a hint of mystery as you glide through the vast primeval cajeput forests and eerie ghost rice fields, listening to fascinating tales about the ghost rice species here.
Tạ Pạ Hill stands about 1km away from the town center. To reach the hill, one must pass by a Khmer pagoda known as Nui or Chưn Num Pagoda. Tạ Pạ Hill, with a height of 120m, exudes a pristine beauty with its towering rock walls resembling fortress ramparts. At the summit lies a mesmerizing lake, its waters always adorned in an enchanting emerald hue. A short 50m stroll allows one to gaze upon the vast Tạ Pạ fields, adorned with lush palm trees.
Tra Su Melaleuca Forest
Exploring the Tra Su Melaleuca Forest is a highlight of any journey. Spanning nearly 850ha, the Tra Su Forest is situated in Van Giao commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province.
Sitting atop a boat, travelers will marvel at the beauty of the forest, surrounded by a sea of greenery with countless rows of straight-standing melaleuca trees. Beneath the water, a layer of green duckweed blankets the surface. Accompanying the rhythmic paddling are the melodious chirps of birds perched amidst the trees, creating a serene and tranquil ambiance.

Forbidden Mountain
A trip to An Giang would be incomplete without visiting Forbidden Mountain. The mountain is approximately a 30-minute motorcycle ride from Tra Su.
One thing to note is that the management board of Forbidden Mountain does not allow self-driving up the mountain. If you want to go up, you have to take a motorcycle taxi for 40,000 per trip, or rent a tour car to go with the group.
Forbidden Mountain, also known as Thien Cam Son, with a height of 705 meters, is the highest mountain in Thất Sơn. There are many hypotheses about the name Forbidden Mountain, one of which is that in the past, Nguyen Anh, when being pursued by the Tay Son army, sometimes had to flee to this mountain for refuge. Wanting to keep his traces hidden, he ordered his close ministers to spread rumors on the mountain about evil beasts and monsters to forbid people from entering. Nowadays, there is also a temple dedicated to King Gia Long, aka Nguyen Anh, on the mountain.
Tinh Bien Market
Located right at the border gate with Cambodia, the goods at the market are very diverse and abundant. The stalls display all kinds of goods, clothing, shoes, glasses, toys,... both domestic and imported, mostly from Cambodia and Thailand, or exported goods at much cheaper prices than in the city but with very guaranteed quality. Tourists can find many local specialties such as linh fish sauce, Thai sauce, dried fish, dried snakes, reed mats... Visiting this rich southwestern border region of our motherland on the wandering journey is also an unforgettable experience for us.
Many people have said that the tourism in the Mekong Delta is not attractive, very boring, but the Mekong Delta has a simple, gentle, and rustic beauty that travelers must feel and only then will they 'have fate' to see.
