Over 4 years ago, on March 11, 2011, the world at large and Japan in particular were shaken by the Fukushima nuclear disaster, turning it into a 'dead land.' Four years later, the modernity of a bustling city has been replaced by foliage.

Recently, Arkadiusz Podniesinski – a 43-year-old professional photographer and filmmaker living in Poland – visited Fukushima to witness the changes. He captured vivid images of the area enveloped in extremely dangerous radiation, forcing over 160,000 people within a 20km radius to evacuate.
