The Simulation Universe has unveiled the Catastrophic Insect Swarm mode, introducing the 8th destiny called Sinh Sôi. This destiny belongs to the Insect Aeon Tayzzyronth, born after the demise of Aeon “Long,” inheriting terrifying self-replicating powers.
In the Virtual Simulation (VTMP), Sinh Sôi holds formidable power over characters reliant on hand-to-hand combat, consuming substantial SP. Let’s delve into this new destiny with Mytour.

An Overview and Application of Sinh Sôi
- Top Character: Dan Heng - Moon Mist, Qingque
- Key Effect: Cell Division
- Priority Blessings: Bone Marrow Blade (1 star), Rhythm Disorder (2 stars), Stimulating Gland (2 stars), Catalyst Substance (2 stars), Foot Blade (3 stars).
- Structure Selection Order: Crystal Clamp - Tua Tủa Extract - Phenol Material
Sinh Sôi is the 8th destiny newly introduced in the latter half of patch 1.3 of Honkai: Star Rail. To embark on the Catastrophic Insect Swarm, players need to complete all chapters of CI and unlock the Endings task. It's an extensive gameplay process that may take up to 3 days or even a week, but its effectiveness is well worth the effort.
TayzzyronthTayzzyronth is likened to Dan Heng's duplicate card - Moon Mist, Qingque, as this Aeon deals dozens of damages, massive stats on regular attacks, and other effects after Moon Mist “consumes SP”. Another clever application of Sinh Sôi is its great support for teams with difficult SP rotation like Blade team, enhancing Destruction character's AoE attacks thanks to specialized blessings such as Rhythm Disorder, even allowing solo Qingque play in many simulations.
To optimize the effectiveness and damage of Sinh Sôi, Mytour advises players to prioritize 1-star and 3-star blessings first before selecting 2-star blessings, as without Cell Division from the 3-star blessing, many 2-star blessings will be entirely useless.
Compatible Team Composition and Characters for Sinh Sôi Usage
Notes Before Picking Sinh Sôi
When using other destinies like Hunting, Destruction, Protection, etc., players in the Virtual Simulation can choose various unique team compositions and characters to play with, maintaining good effectiveness. However, Sinh Sôi requires specific characters like Moon Mist, Qingque to achieve 'max ping', otherwise, players will struggle in VTMP similar to holding Joy, Memories without bringing a character with follow-up attacks or lacking Ice attribute. You can use teams as follows:
Unlocking the Sinh Sôi DestinyPerfectly Balanced Team Composition
- Includes: Dan Heng - Moon Mist, Yukong, Fu Xuan, Luocha
- Roles: DPS, sub-DPS, tanker, healer
This perfectly balanced team will strike fear into the hearts of Thorn Beetle with both Virtual and Quantum weaknesses. Moon Mist will serve as both a pure DPS and the primary activator of Sinh Sôi. Feel free to spam his 3-stack ability as he can 'discount' his attacks through both his ultimate and Sinh Sôi. Moreover, activating the 3-stack will maximize the power of blessings.
This team features the appearance of the top 3 supports at the moment: Yukong, Fu Xuan, and Luocha. Yukong can deal single-target damage and effectively utilize the power of Tayzzyronth, while Fu Xuan and Luocha will serve as solid tanks for the team.
Acceleration Team Composition - Hypercarry
- Includes: Dan Heng - Moon Mist, Yukong, Bronya, Luocha
- Roles: DPS, support, support, healer
- Rotation: Yukong (E) - Yukong (Q) - Bronya (E onto Moon Mist) - Bronya (Q) - Dan Heng Moon Mist (Q) - Dan Heng Moon Mist (stack charge + regular attack) - Luocha (depending on situation)
This Hypercarry team can bring up to 177% crit damage, 64% crit rate, 225% ATK, and a plethora of other powerful stats to Moon Mist without relying too much on special conditions. The team is rather fragile and requires more frequent healer usage compared to other compositions. Pay attention to speed stats, especially of Yukong and Moon Mist. Adjust the character order in the rotation mentioned above for optimal efficiency, and avoid using the Dance! Dance! Dance! stigma as it can disrupt the rotation significantly.
Qingque Gacha Team - What's Fun in Gacha
- Includes: Qingque, Yukong, Natasha, March 7th
- Roles: DPS, sub-DPS, healer, shielder - crowd control
Qingque always remains a hot topic in the Honkai: Star Rail community due to her highly 'luck-based' strength, either having everything or nothing and particularly consuming a lot of SP. However, Sinh Sôi has come to Qingque's rescue as this destiny can buff her until players flip 4 Quỳnh Ngọc cards. Another special point is that even if players are unlucky and can't flip all 4 cards, Qingque will still be well-protected thanks to the two national supports, March 7th and Natasha.
