The location is situated about 3km from Mèo Vạc town, nestled on a pine hill in Tài Chí Dừa hamlet, Giàng Chu Phìn commune. The majestic and impressive beauty of this sinkhole has led the tourism community to not only label it as the 'Mèo Vạc Sinkhole' but also give it names like the 'Abyss of Death,' and the 'Heavenly Well of Hà Giang.'

Local residents are unaware of when the sinkhole was formed, but they often descend into it to gather grass for their cattle. Looking up from below, the sky visible through the mouth of the sinkhole resembles scenes from cinematic masterpieces that have left everyone in awe.

Currently, this location has not been safely developed for tourism. However, if you wish to challenge yourself, local residents will guide you along the well-trodden trail they usually use. Upon reaching the sinkhole, you'll experience the sensation of rappelling down with the support of ropes.

The steep path takes around 30 minutes for travelers to descend, followed by an additional 20-minute climb.
