In early October, alongside the introduction of the first tablet in the Redmi lineup called Redmi Pad, the company also launched the Redmi Writing Pad. This is an electronic writing board for children and elderly jotting. Let's take a look at the Redmi Writing Pad in my hands to see what this device has to offer!
Note:

Hands-on with the Redmi Writing Pad featuring a simple, compact design
What impressed me first about this Redmi Writing Pad is how incredibly thin it is, with dimensions of approximately 21 x 14 x 0.5 cm and weighing only 90 grams. It must be said that this is an extremely slim and lightweight device, suitable for children and elderly individuals for everyday use.

The entire frame of the Redmi Writing Pad is made from ABS plastic, providing excellent impact resistance. The rear panel is also designed quite simply with a plastic back and the Redmi logo prominently engraved in the middle. Additionally, users will receive a dedicated stylus pen weighing about 5 grams, offering a solid grip.

The front screen of the Redmi Writing Pad has quite thick bezels, especially the lower chin, but considering this is not a device meant for entertainment, this isn't a significant issue. The lower chin also features a prominent red button for erasing the written content.

The screen of the Redmi Writing Pad measures 8.5 inches LCD and emits no light. The device operates using a layer of liquid crystals to display drawings when using the company's dedicated stylus pen. Additionally, the edges of the device are quite empty and simple, with a toggle button used to save the content you are writing, while the bottom edge is where the battery is placed.

Overall, the Redmi Writing Pad has a design similar to a legendary childhood toy with similar functionality that I can't remember the name of. If anyone remembers, please comment below! This item is suitable for the criteria of slim, lightweight, and simple for students to take to school or elderly people who need a board for notes but not too heavy.
The Redmi Writing Pad has precise force touch sensitivity, capable of storing 20,000 pages of paper
True to the name of the product, the Redmi Writing Pad is designed for writing, drawing, etc. Thanks to its strong and light force touch sensitivity different from other stylus pens, the device can display content very accurately, even the varying shades of the writer's strokes are accurately represented.

After doodling or taking notes on the Redmi Writing Pad, users can clear the screen with a single press of the orange button. If you accidentally press the button while drawing, you can limit it by sliding the side lock button to prevent unwanted or accidental deletion of content from the screen.

So why do we need the Redmi Writing Pad? This may be a question that many people, including myself, will wonder about. After thinking for a while, I think the Redmi Writing Pad is born as a solution to replace the chalkboard that we use every day, especially for elementary and preschool students. I remember, when we were young, we often wasted money on buying blackboards and chalk, and later on, upgraded to whiteboards and markers, but most of them did not have high durability, not to mention the chalk dust that can be harmful to the lungs of the writer.

As for whiteboard markers, they are also safe, but there are also many cases where mistakes happen, such as not being able to erase due to confusion with oil-based markers, and whiteboards also tend to break quite quickly over time. Therefore, I think the Redmi Writing Pad is an effective alternative solution with high durability, accurate writing force detection, and erasing is also quite easy with just one press, saving money on buying chalk, and being non-toxic due to dust.

It's just a little disappointing that the Redmi Writing Pad doesn't allow users to synchronize content with their devices; instead, the device allows users to write up to 20,000 pages. A very large number of pages for everyone to freely draw and write on for a long time without any replacements.
Conclusion
In my opinion, the Redmi Writing Pad is a product worth buying because it is quite useful for students and parents, such as saving a lot of money on buying boards, chalk, no dust, no ink sticking to hands and feet. A product with high durability, high storage capacity, and very lightweight for daily school use, I will buy one as soon as it arrives in Vietnam. Currently, the product is being sold in India for only 599 INR (about 174 thousand VND), extremely cheap for such a useful product!

Those were my impressions when holding the Redmi Writing Pad. So, what do you think about the Redmi Writing Pad? Remember to leave a comment below for me and everyone else to know!
