These tanks, typically made of metal with a capacity of less than 1 liter, are insulated with foam to minimize heat loss. They are connected to the water supply bottle from below and to the water spout from above, ensuring the tanks remain filled with water.

Operating Principle:
For the hot compartment: A heating rod with a power of approximately 500W is installed, controlled by a relay to maintain water temperature between 90 – 95oC. When the water temperature is below 90 degrees, the relay activates the heating rod, and when the water temperature exceeds 95 degrees, the relay deactivates the heating rod. Additionally, a second relay is installed to protect the heating rod from overheating.
For the cold compartment: A coiled tube is utilized to chill the water. To achieve this, a refrigeration system similar to that of a refrigerator is employed, comprising a compressor, condenser, evaporator coil, and expansion valve. However, the refrigeration system here differs in that the compressor is smaller, and the evaporator coil is coiled to chill the water.
To prevent water in the tank from freezing, which could lead to tank rupture and pose a danger to users, the manufacturer installs an additional relay to safeguard against a malfunctioning temperature relay. This relay functions to cut off power when the water temperature drops too low. The water chilling capacity is approximately 1 liter per hour. Additionally, the machine is designed with some convenient features: power switch with indicator lights for power supply, cooling, and heating; grounding safety component for ease of use, preventing electric leakage, and conserving energy.
