Although all are Saiyans, there are fundamental differences between Goku, Vegeta, and their offspring in Dragon Ball.

Pure-blooded Saiyans like Goku and Vegeta possess three prominent traits:

- Battle Addiction: Their existence revolves around combat. The intensity of battle serves as their driving force, and the stronger the opponent, the better.
- Regenerative Ability: They not only quickly recover from wounds but also grow stronger after each battle. This is the core of Saiyan recuperation and evolution.
- Desire for Destruction: Despite individual differences, most Saiyans have a predisposition for annihilation.
What's missing in Saiyan hybrids?

Saiyan hybrids like Gohan and Trunks are undeniably powerful, yet notably differ from their parents in two aspects:
- Less inclination towards combat: They lack the innate desire for seeking battles and instead prefer other activities and passions.
- Almost no penchant for destruction: The diluted Earthling bloodline in Saiyan hybrids softens this characteristic of Saiyan warriors, making them more inherently peaceful.
Although Saiyan hybrids also have the potential to increase their strength after each battle due to their regenerative abilities, their lack of interest in combat sets them apart from pure-blooded Saiyans.
The significance of these differences

Positive Aspects
Being less inclined towards combat allows Saiyan hybrids to lead a more balanced life on Earth. They can have stable jobs and more peaceful relationships, something that would be difficult for a pure-blooded Saiyan like Goku or Vegeta.
Negative Aspects
On the other hand, not being trained and exposed to combat makes Saiyan hybrids vulnerable to larger threats that occasionally emerge, such as Golden Frieza or Moro.
While pure-blooded Saiyans are driven by the desire for battle and power, hybrids are more balanced but also less prepared for larger threats.
Each group has its advantages and disadvantages, and perhaps the ideal is to find a middle ground. That is living a peaceful life on Earth while still maintaining their training and combat skills.
