During my recent summer trip in the U.S., I registered and experimented with Apple Pay, anticipating its arrival in Vietnam. The total amount spent through my iPhone for that journey exceeded 500 USD, with the majority going towards buying accessories for my pool table at Mytour café and shopping at the Apple Store. The remaining amount went towards enjoying some coffee sessions.Apple Pay User Experience
What I find most comfortable and convenient is that I don't need to take out my SEN Wallet 4 from my backpack or pocket. Technically, I still have to bring my iPhone close to the card reader, but since everyone already carries their iPhone or smartphone with them, it's not a big deal. So, it's like experiencing contactless payments without needing a physical wallet, just a smartphone is more comfortable.
My transactions through Apple Pay are recorded with comprehensive information, making them much easier to track compared to other payment methods.Tapping into each transaction also provides a map, address, and more, allowing us to monitor payments. In contrast, card payments have very little transaction information stored.
In terms of security during payments, the iPhone's Face ID makes it extremely convenient. All you need to do is glance at the screen briefly before lowering it to the card reader. The payment process involves pressing the iPhone's power button, at which point the iPhone just needs to be facing upwards to recognize and confirm your face. This is similar to logging into the iPhone using Face ID, making it effortless and convenient.
I used to use an Apple Watch for payments, which was even more convenient than the iPhone because there was no need to take out the phone, and it didn't require Face ID verification as the Apple Watch itself, when worn on the wrist, is already secure.Apple Pay Coming Soon to Vietnam
Recent leaks suggest that Apple Pay will soon make its debut in Vietnam, possibly within this month. Apple's partner banks and collaborators are finalizing the last steps. I'm confident that I'll give it a try and share more details with you all.
