Unveiling Samsung Pay

Introducing the Marvel That Is Samsung Pay
Samsung Pay, an exclusive service by Samsung, operates independently from Android Pay and is unrelated to Google Wallet. It operates on the principle of requiring a credit card to be used. Instead of directly using your credit card for payments, you can now utilize Samsung Pay. The process is simple: unlock your phone equipped with Samsung Pay, bring it close to the POS terminal, and voila, your payment is complete.
When using Samsung Pay, all you need to do is take out your phone, touch your finger to the reader on the machine, then bring the phone close to the payment terminal (NFC or card reader). Samsung refers to this payment method as 'tap-and-go'.
Guide to Using Samsung Pay on Galaxy Note 8

Seemingly, every company has its own electronic payment system, and of course, Samsung is no exception with Samsung Pay. Samsung has partnered with many major banks so that once you activate this feature, you can happily go shopping with just your Samsung phone. Currently in Vietnam, Samsung Pay only supports 6 banks: Vietinbank, Vietcombank, BIDV, Sacombank, CitiBank, Shinhan Vietnam Bank, ABBank.
The steps are as follows:
- Step 1: Upon accessing Samsung Pay on the main screen, you'll see your Samsung account linked to the app, along with your Email.
- Step 2: Select start to agree with the service's terms (You can read the details, but it will be quite extensive and legally heavy).
- Step 3: After entering and confirming your PIN, you need to add at least one credit card to make purchases by pointing the camera at the card's front. The device will automatically retrieve the necessary information, but you still need to input the card's name, confirmation code, and address.
- Step 4: Scan your personal fingerprint to authenticate. The camera will activate to scan the card information.
- Step 5: The app verifies the account by sending an SMS to the registered phone number or via email from the bank.

Devices Supported by Samsung Pay
In addition to the Galaxy Note 8, you can apply the same method to other Samsung phones such as: Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus 128GB, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, S7 and S7 Edge, Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, and Galaxy Note 8. Additionally, smartwatches like Gear S2 and S3 are also supported (only with NFC communication).
