To export and save images in Lightroom, follow the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Select the images you want to export.
Start by selecting images from the Grid or Filmstrip view.
Step 2: Open the Export dialog box.
Choose File => Export, or click the Export button in the Library module. Then select Export To => Hard Drive from the menu at the top of the Export dialog box.
To export and save images to a USB drive, select Export To => Hard Drive, then in the Export Location panel, choose Export To => Specific Folder. Click Choose and navigate to the USB drive.
Step 3: Select pre-export settings (optional)
Lightroom Classic CC comes with built-in presets for exporting images to the drive in specific file formats. For example, the For Email preset allows exporting JPEG images at 72 dpi and automatically sending emails from Lightroom Classic CC.
If you prefer, you can choose preset settings from the left panel of the Export dialog box and skip step 6.
Step 4: Configure export options
Configure the destination folder, naming conventions, and other options in the Export dialog box.
For example, use the File Settings panel to choose the image format for export, such as JPEG, PDF, TIFF, DNG, or the original image format, and select the background color.
In the Image Sizing panel, set the image dimensions - size and resolution.
Step 5: Save export settings (optional)
To save export settings for future use, click Add at the bottom-left of the Preset panel on the left side of the Export dialog box.
Step 6: Export the image
Click Export to export the image.
