1. Extended Chills: Which Heater to Choose?
The intensifying cold weather has made the heater market much livelier. With prices ranging from a few hundred thousand dong to several million, there are numerous types of heaters leaving consumers unsure about their choice.
When it comes to heaters, there are primarily three main types: halogen heaters, oil heaters, and ceramic heaters.

Halogen heaters, also known as infrared heaters, essentially use large halogen bulbs or heating elements with high power to quickly heat the air. However, they can cause dry skin due to burning air at high temperatures. They are usually used in bathrooms for short periods. These heaters are quite affordable, starting from around 300,000 dong per unit, with most of them being from China.

Drawbacks of oil heaters include their higher price compared to halogen heaters and ceramic heaters, starting from 1.5 million dong and up, depending on the number of heating elements and brand.

The price of ceramic heaters is higher than halogen heaters but lower than oil heaters.
Additionally, another type of heater worth considering is the two-way air conditioner. The price of a two-way air conditioner is naturally higher than the aforementioned types of heaters, but it provides better room heating. If there are young children in the house, it is advisable to use an oil heater. However, it is not recommended to use heaters for extended periods during the day to prevent the air in the room from becoming stuffy, which can be harmful to children. An important point to note about heaters is their high electricity consumption; the higher the wattage of the heater, the more electricity it consumes. Therefore, when purchasing a heater, you should consider this issue.
